There was a long silence. I began to feel a bit awkward. Snow stood there, like she was an emotionless zombie walking around but had suddenly found a juicy brain to eat.

... ... ... Was how it stayed. I could here the swaying sounds of the trees and aggressive wind howling wildly. Snow began to drift from the sky and soon enough the world was a winter wonderland. We were black figures far, far away from any other living form. The sky was crystal clear and beautiful.

We both gazes into each others eyes. Snow's eyes were as clear as can be, I could see what she was thinking.

There was a long silence, once again. She began to mutter something under her breath. Then said with a gaze in her eyes, '' Yes, yes I will.''

We both howled in achievment and there was soft sound echoing in the wind.

There was triumph and warm feeling inside of me, in my heart. One that I hadn't had for many, many moons. In fact it had been probably about two years or so. When my parents were alive.

Nextthing to go, pups, I thought to myself. It was getting to winter and prey was scarce. I had to go hunt, I was ravenous. I knew that the creek would probably be frozen.

A flash of brown movement catches my eye. I lash out at it chasing it through tussuks of grass and weaving through trees. I suddenly bounce on fluffy brown fur. With a swipe of my paw I hold a floppy body.

I take a large mouthful and taste the juices as they flood my mouth. The carcass is devoured within seconds. Not even feeling half full. I remember that I need to get something for Snow as well so I go hunting for Snow instead of myself.

I notice a burrow and begin yelping and kicking the dirt away, creating a bigger hole. Soon I can fit myself through but I am very uncomfortable. I crouch on my paws, as I am quite small from not eating that much, I have an advantage.

I notice a whole family of hares sleeping, my mouth waters. I kill them individually with a blow of my paw. I grab about eight tiny hares in my mouth.

I creep out silently and stalk back to the den. I lay down eight plump hares in front of Snow, she smiles and splits it evenly. We both dig into juicy meal. I treasure the tastes and flavours. With my stomach satifyingly full enough, I lie down and soon find myself asleep.
