"Can I go play with the other kids, please?" Danny asked his adoptive father. You might be wondering, 'What adoptive father? The only father Danny has is Roy.' Actually, you see, Harry and Robin adopted Danny, as Roy was dangerous. They couldn't simply let the child be around him anymore.
Harry sighed. "Alright, but be back soon. Dinner will be ready in an hour." He replied, and Danny's face lit up.
"Thanks, Dad!" He exclaimed as he ran outside where his friends were waiting.
Robin was in his chair, watching T.V.
"We really need to let him be outside more often with his friends. After all, conversation is good for everyone." He said, getting up from his seat and wandered over to his red lover.
"I know we should. I'm just scared that Roy will show up and we'll be stuck in that damned house again." Harry replied, turning and looking down at Robin.
"You need to stop worrying about it. It's been two years." He sighed, hugging Harry.
"I will try. It's just gonna be stuck with me forever."
"You know I'll love you forever. You know Danny will love you forever. No matter what happens." Robin said, holding Harry's face in his hands and bringing him down to his level.
"I'll always love you, too, Robin." Harry softly pecked Robin on his beak, and they knew they would be alright.
About an hour later, Danny came back and they ate supper, like a little, happy family.
