Chance Sutton: Alergic Reaction

You were in the kitchen with Erika this morning and you were looking through the fridge at the different flavour protein drinks that were in there. You finally picked the Tropical Peach one because peach was your favourite flavour of anything. You went to the island where Erika was sitting and you sat on the barstool next to her.

"What one did you take?" She asks.

"Tropical Peach!" You show her the bottle.

"Ouh nice choice i chose strawberry."

You both open them and take a sip. It was heaven. It tastes absolutely amazing. You set it down in front of you and pull out your phone and scroll through IG.

After about 30 seconds or so, you notice that it was a little harder to breathe than normal. You didn't think much about it because you had asthma and this sometime happened but it always went away.

You waited for another minute and it just got worse. Erika started to notice that you were struggling to take a breath.

"Y/n you ok? what's going on?" She looked over at you.

"Does this have pineapple in it?" You pointed at the bottle of your protein drink.

Erika picked it up and quickly scanned through the ingredients.

"It says 'pineapple juice' why?" She looked skeptical.

"Allergic..." You could feel your throats closing up and you couldn't get enough air in.

"Oh my god what do i do?!" Erika was panicking now.

"C-Chance" You managed to get out. He was also allergic to pineapple, (just pretend) not as bad as you though, and he had an EpiPen just in case but he's never used it.

"CHANCE GET DOWNSTAIRS QUICK Y/N IS HAVING AN ALLERGIC REACTION!!!!" Erika screamed for Chance as loud as she could.

You were almost to the point where you couldn't not breathe at all. You couldn't get any air in and you were going to pass out soon.

You could hear Chance running down the stairs and soon he was coming towards you.

You could feel yourself about to pass out and that was the last thing you could remember.

CHANCE'S P.O.V
I could see y/n start to pass out and fall and i got to her just in time to catch her. I lowered her to the ground and knelt down next to her.

"what happened?!" I asked Erika while checking to see if she was breathing or not. She wasn't.

"She had a protein drink that had pineapple juice in it by accident."

I knew y/n was allergic to pineapple like me but i didn't know it was this serious.

I pull my EpiPen out of my back pocket and take it out. I pull off the cap and stuck it in her arm just praying that it worked. We waited a minute and i could see her chest rising very faintly. I let out a big breath i didn't even realize i was holding in.

"Thank god." I muttered to myself.

YOUR P.O.V

I opened my eyes and saw Chance and Erika kneeling above me.

"Chance" Your voice was very weak right now but he heard you.

"Hey baby how are you feeling right now?" He started stroking your hair soothingly.

"Ok i guess... i don't know."

"Ok well i should take you to the hospital and get you your own EpiPen and get you checked out."

"Ok"

He picked you up and started walking to the front door. You put your face in his shoulder so that no one would be able to see your face because you didn't have makeup on.

"Woah where are you going?" You heard Kade ask.

"I'm taking y/n to the hospital she just had a really bad allergic reaction."

"Oh wow ok. Well Jake is out right now with the truck so do you want me to drive you guys?" Kade was the only one besides Jake who could drive stick shift and there were no other cars available at the moment.

"Yeah that would be great thanks Kade"

Chance carries you out to the car and sat in the back with you laying your head in his lap.

"I'm so glad your ok baby. Don't ever scare me like that again." Chance said.

"I'm sorry i won't." He leaned down and kissed you very softly on the lips.

*time skip*
Chance never let you eat anything again until he checked the ingredient on everything. It drove you crazy but you loved him for it.
