Different

Act 6

The men in gold and white suits all regrouped together at the apartment, going through the belongings of the residents who had just fled the building, checking for evidence of their crimes against god, more blah blah blah.

The church official from before, that man that was in the shadows, had a mask on. He was looking around, picking up pictures of the family and friends who had lived there.

"So, they have a relative? A mother perhaps? I've seen her file before.. but the Churches high priest said the children had no potential.... I'll make sure he pays for this. It's his fault after all." The guys voice was deep and for some reason sharp?

He then turned around and walked out of the door, leaving his team to investigate

(Switching back)

I introduced Maxy to everyone else, and then Maxy introduced Gaia to everyone else. I never actually knew Gaia since she was always in the hospital, ever since she was young she had been weak so I never actually got to see her.

She was nice, and shorter than Maxy. Should I mention that Maxy is Gaia's twin sister? Even though they don't exactly look alike (they aren't identical so duh).

"Well, it is my pleasure to meet you all. If you would please collect your belongings I'll see you to your rooms." Gaia's voice was so gentle and nurturing, it was almost scary how serene she made the atmosphere feel.

"Alrighty, we have a bunch of extra rooms so make yourselves at home" Maxy was so lenient, that was one of the things I liked about Maxy, she was always cool and collected from what I had seen.

Gaia then pointed at the caverns entrance, a tree sprouting out from unfront of it and covering it completely. I guess this was Gaia's ability? Plant manipulation maybe? Eh, I'll just ask her later I guess.

Gaia then turned around to face the hallways which lead to multiple branching hallways, many doors were on each side of each hallway, it was kind of awesome to see how big their underground living area was.

Should I call it a secret base? I mean, that is kinda what it is after all. Whatever, it was time to get our stuff into rooms- though I could tell Jasper still slightly had his guard up, so did Malachite.

Amelia and Mira were both calm and good with these peeps though, so yay for them. Gaia started walking down the wooden hallway, every once in a while there would be a branch sticking out with a lantern hanging off of it, which was really cool to see.

"So, how did you find this place?" I was curious, so I asked. "Well, I had just found asked random cave and covered it in plant life. My ability is the manipulation and creation of plant life, but I can also use the plants to feel sometimes, as in if you were to take any steps in the wooden hallway we are in now, I'd be able to sense your vibrations through my plants on the floor. So my ability comes in quite handy, and that is how we knew you had entered this place."

Well, that was described in detail.. guess she really likes things to be clear? I mean, I'm mot complaining, that's pretty sick that she can do that with her plants.

"Wow.. you've really done a wonderful job" I just kept gazing at the pretty flowers that were occasionally growing from the wooden walls. Gaia nodded her head to thank my compliment, she then stopped walking.

"These five rooms are for you guys-" before Gaia could finish speaking Jasper wrapped an arm around Amelia and said "I'm sharing a room with her, no questions." And walked into the first room with her.

"Alright then.. anyone else want to pair up as well?" She kind of looked a little confused as to why they interrupted her, but she shook it off.

"Uh, yeah. Me and my big bro are gonna share a room" Mira didn't want to be alone, she was afraid, and so was I, so we went into the second room- poor Malachite, she was just all alone in the third room.

We got into comfy clothing, and I put my sister to sleep by calming her thoughts with my telepathy. I mean, I was just helping her sleep so I hope it wasn't a bad move.

Anyways, I sneakily got out of my room and walked down the hallway, tapping on a branch of the hallway wall, soon after Gaia walked up to me from behind.

"Did you need something, Karma?"

"Yeah, I wanted to talk to Maxy and catch up on everything I missed out on, if you'd take me to her that is.. I dun really know where her room is.." Gaia seemed to giggle.

"Yes, I can take you to her, please come this way" she then turned and began walking down the left hallway, I followed her to the end room where she opened the door after knocking.

"Ayeeeee, it's Karmaaaaaaaa, whatchu up to?" Maxy was always playful and friendly to me, we were always nice to eachother so I was sad when she moved away at the end of middle school.

"Not much buddddyyyyy, just wanted to catch up with you" Maxy immediately patted the bed next to her, motioning for me to sit down.

I walked over and plopped down, the bed was bouncy and the springs didn't stab you so that was AMAZING.

"So Maxy, you're a Mutant Human too? I only slightly saw your ability earlier, so it could only guess and think of what your ability was.. which clogged my mind with ideas. Please tell me what it is 😢"

"Hahah, I shoulda toldya earlier, my ability let's me open portals to another plain of existence, sure it's just a couple hundred yards of space but I can store as many weapons and items in there as I want, and I can just reach into a portal to take it out anytime, so... yeah, it's slightly complicated, but it's not very much based on offense as much as it is defense"

"Wow.. that's actually pretty cool, OH, guess I should explain mine too. I have three abilities, I'm a telekinetic and a telepathic, the third one.. well... I'd rather not talk about it if that's alright"

Maxy nodded her head in understanding, and a second after I passed out cold, flopping straight over onto Maxy's bed.

"Uh.. okay then 😂 I guess I'm sleepin with Gaia tonight" Maxy then covered me up eith a blanket before walking out of the room, going next door to her sister Gaia.
