Saturday's Child works hard for a living (or a kiss)

I tried to make sure I woke up before Draco; to save myself the pain of being jumped on and to save him actually jumping on me. However I was once again thwarted by the kid and ended up with a sore stomach from where he belly-flopped onto me.

"Mornin' Harry!" He smiled, squirming closer to my face.

"M'ning" I managed, petting his hair and sitting up. Draco gave a small pout before sliding off the bed.

"We get'ta go t'Hogsmeade today, don' we?" He asked, getting his clothes from a small pile next to my dresser.

"Yeah," I said, finally getting up and getting my own clothes. "Ron and 'Mione said we can join them if you want."

Draco seemed to take his time thinking about it. Enough time for me to get dressed and help him finish dressing. "I wanna be with you." He said finally. "Jus' you."

"That's okay, I'm sure the others won't mind." Draco had been doing that more often through the progression of the week. He wouldn't cling to me as much, but he wanted to be with me alone more often. I was lost in that thought until Draco walked closer to me, reaching his arms up as a signal he wanted to be carried.

Ron and Hermione were waiting in the common room for us when I began descending the stairs.

"Ready for Hogsmeade, mate?" Ron asked, looking far too chipper for having only just woken up.

"Might catch you up later, Draco wants to drag me around a bit first." Hermione gave a smile at the comment.

"Of course, because It's always about what he wants." Ginny said chidingly, Stalking out from the girls rooms. "Never about what your friends want. Never about what your girlfriend wants."

"Oh lay off Gin." Ron whined. "He's takin' care of the kid. You don't have to be such a..." His words died as he realised swearing wan't the best idea.

"Bitch." Draco finished, making myself and Hermione laugh.

"Tell her how you really feel." I muttered under my breath before walking to the portrait. "Look, I'm gonna go now, I'll catch all of you later."

As I opened the door, Draco leaned up close to my face, kissing my cheek as I turned my head to watch where I was stepping.

Draco was gripping my hand like a lifeline as we wandered through Hogsmeade, other witches and wizards occasionally cooing at him and reminding me how adorable he was.

"Can we get sweets?" He asked, giving my hand a tug and pointing to Honeydukes. I gave him a smile and nodded, walking alongside him as we entered the store. Since we'd gone out relatively early, there were only a few people wandering around and picking out different assortments of treats. Draco let go of my hand to run off and look around.

I grabbed a chocolate frog, planning on surprising Draco with it later.

When I eventually found him, I was surprised to find that Draco had only grabbed a few items instead of the armfuls I'd expected. He was adamant he carried them as I paid for it and when we went back outside.

"Can we go in there?" He asked, pointing down the way to Madame Puddifoot's. I inwardly cringed, remembering my last date there... not that this was a date right now or anything.

"But it's so tacky," I said, glancing down at him. He looked back with large eyes.

"Wha' 'bout there then?" Draco second choice was simply a bench outside Spintwiches Sporting Needs. I gave another nod and we went to sit down, a replica snitch zipping around behind my head.

I waited until Draco had finished his first sweet before carefully opening the chocolate frog box and holding it in my hand. "Hey Draco." I said softly, letting the frog go and watching it jump into his lap. He let out a small shriek of surprise before bursting into a fit of giggles.

"Wha'sat?" He asked, picking up the now still frog.

"Don't worry it's just chocolate." I said with a smile, watching his attempts to eat it.

"H'rry," He said through a mouthful of frog. "'re you g'nna k'p d'tin' G'n?"

I sighed; "Please finish what's in your mouth." Draco gulped and asked again.

"Are you gonna keep datin' Gin?"

I didn't answer him straight away. Was I? Little Draco seemed to really like me, and Severus had said that his feeling were reflected from his older self. Once he was back to being eighteen, would he and I go back to being how we used to be? Would he even get to be eighteen again?

"I dunno, She's... complicated. But, probably not." I turned to look at him. "I have you don't I?" I added as a joke. Draco all but threw himself at me and planted another kiss on my lips. "Yeah, you have me!"

I wasn't really sure what was going to happen when Draco had grown up again, but I knew that he definitely had feelings for me.

***

Draco was sitting on the end of the bed drawing on some of my scrap parchment I had leftover after an essay. After the surprise kiss that Draco had given me, Ron and Hermione had shown up and we all went to The Three Broomsticks. Draco was happy to share all his feeling for me to the two of them which made me the butt of every joke they came up with thereafter.

"You gonna come t' bed Harry?" Draco called out. My brain was a mess and I knew that a voice that innocent should not be saying those words.

"I'm here, don't worry." I said, shuffling back into view after my shower. Draco carefully folded up the parchment (after being very obvious in making sure I didn't see what was on it) and crawled up to the top of the bed.

I climbed under the covers and mumbled a quick goodnight to Draco before turning of the lights. I light tapping on my back made me roll over to look at his shadowy shape.

"Aren't'cha gonna gi' me a good night kiss?" He asked, almost sulkily.

I smiled softly and kissed the top of his head before rolling over again.

This time he got my attention by sitting heavily on my side. "I mean a real one." He pouted.

I started to get fidgety. Thus far, Draco was the only one to really do any kissing. It seemed too weird to me to be the one to kiss him. Especially since he was so young.

"Haaaarryyyyyyy." he whined, wriggling back and forth.

"I can't do much when you're lying on me." As soon as the words left my mouth Draco had leapt off of me and sat patiently on the bed. I sat up to look at him.

'Just pretend he's eighteen. Just pretend he's eighteen.'  I repeatedly thought to myself before closing my eyes and letting my lips touch his.
