Super Junior One-shot

11. Discharged

Author's Note:

The characters I'll be using in this one shot is the characters from my other fanfiction entitle "My Mr. Simple"

I kept on pacing and pacing trying to think what I missed.

"Jae stop pacing and just stay still. Im getting dizzy from looking at you" my best friend jaehyuk told me

"Why aren't you so excited jaehyuk? Donghae oppa will be discharged this week as well?" I asked her

"Look, I already cleaned our house. I fixed everything last week so that I wont be like you when he's discharged."

"I need everything to be perfect jaehyukkie. Hyukjae will be released tomorrow. The house is still so messy, there is no groceries yet and to top it all off, Im getting married next month after siwon is discharged. Im not ready but Im excited" 

"Calm down jae. first, my brother wouldn't care if your house is messy. second, we could do the grocery after you calm down. lastly, you're not the only one getting married. My brother is anxious trust me. I'll help you clean and do some grocery shopping. After that just relax because tomorrow, the love of your life is coming back" 

I immediately smiled when she said that. Its been a while since I saw hyukjae. His occasional vacations weren't always with me. He spends time with his members and his family. Yes sometimes Im with him, but I still treat it differently. Hyukjae and I cant even go out on a date because a lot of people wants to spend time with him. 

If we are together, all we do is to plan our wedding. We have been engaged for a long time now. We agreed to tie the knot after he was discharged from his military service. 

"He's coming back. Ill finally have him back" I said as I finally sat down

"I've been telling you that and yes he's really coming back" 

After I calm down, jaehyuk and I tidied up the house and went on the market to shop. 

We passed by the military camp and saw that there are already elfs lining up to wait for his release. I started to laugh when I saw their banners teasing hyukjae. 

ELFs and Super Junior really love teasing each other. I asked jaehyuk if we can join the fans for a while. 

The moment we stepped out of the car, fans started to cheer.

"Annyeong! Thank you so much for waiting for hyukjae oppa's discharge. I was supposed to give this to you guys tomorrow but I think I can give it to you guys now" 

I unloaded some of the foods and drinks that we were supposed to give to the fans tomorrow. 

"Also, Please do list down all the names of the people who waited for hyukjae oppa today and tomorrow. Ill be collecting those tomorrow. Hyukjae and I cherished the people who waited for him. Is it okay if I join you guys in camping out tonight?" I asked and they all cheered in return. 

While I was with these wonderful people, I got to know a lot more about their fans. There were lawyers, doctors and other medical personnel, educators, idol trainees and even students who were patiently waiting for him to return. 

It warms my heart to see that this many people love and supports hyukjae. 

Tonight as I stay with them, I am temporarily forgetting that I am an idol. I am just a normal person who's waiting for her boyfriend's military discharge. 

The last time that we talked, he told me that he would be discharged at seven in the morning. Currently, it's only four in the morning. Fans were still very much active and interacting. They were trying to come up with another prank for hyukjae which really amuses me. 

Hanging out with them opened my eyes to their world and I feel that somehow I belong. 

It was about six in the morning when I saw Jaehyuk and the others arrived. 

Some of the other members helped jaehyuk and I distribute the early snacks and new hot packs for the fans who camped out. 

At exactly seven in the morning, Hyukjae got discharged. 

The fans were teasing him the moment he started speaking. There were even some fans who were tearing up when they finally saw him again. 

He did some interview and a little bit of Q&A with his fans before we all head back home where his family is already waiting for him. 

"Welcome back oppa" I told him the moment we finally had the chance to talk. 

He removed his cap and hugged me tight. 

There were some squeal from the fans who were able to see us hug. 

"Thank you for waiting Jae... I'm back" 

"You're always worth the wait oppa"
