While he was in the library, Damon dug through books and threw them down as Stefan stood next to him. "What are you looking for, Damon?"
"Not your concern," Damon replied.
"No, but putting Elena in harm's way, that is my concern."
"Hm, what are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about Atlanta."
"Oh, yeah. Elena and I had a blast."
"I get it," I said from the door frame with a taunting smile, making them look back at me. "You're bitter because one of you gets to be with the person that you love and poor Katherine is just out of reach. Unless there's another way for you to get into that tomb. That what Bree said?"
"I know you're better than that when you're fishing," Damon told me.
"And I know you're transparent when you're deflecting," I replied.
Damon looked from me to Stefan. "Don't you two have school?"
"I'm actually thinking of giving up, ditching and dropping out," I answered as Stefan backed out. "What's the point of going?"
"I see your point."
I smirked, backing away and turning out of the door, knowing exactly what he was looking for.

I watched as Stefan walked into the library with Dad's journal and went to Damon, who was in front of a desk. He looked up at his 50's hair style. "You got the hair right." Stefan set the journal on the desk. "Why are you giving me Dad's journal?"
"Because Kaylin told me you were looking for it."
"And why would I want it?"
"Gee, I don't know, Damon," I said. "Maybe you wanna do a little bit of posthumous bonding."
"Go ahead," Stefan told him. "Enjoy it. Read it. I have. Nowhere in it does it say anything about Katherine or the tomb or how to open it."
"I'm not surprised," Damon said. "The man could barely spell his name."
I smirked tauntingly. "I'm really sorry that it couldn't be any help with your diabolical plan: the sequel."
Damon gave me a bitter smile.
"You know, I could help you," Stefan said.
"You help me?" Damon asked. "I don't know. It seems a little unnatural."
"I'll do anything to get you out of this town," Stefan replied, leaning against the desk. "Even release Katherine."
"What about the other 26 vampires?" Damon asked.
"No, no, they can't come. They have to stay put, but Katherine . . . I would consider that."
"What are you doing? Hmm? What's your angle?"
Stefan shook his head. "Think about it."
Damon scoffed, looking back down. "Why would I trust you?"
"See, that's your problem, Damon," I said as I backed away, pointing at him. "You apply all of your short comings to everybody else." I looked through the corner of my eye as I continued to back away. "If history is any indication, there's only one liar amount us.l.p.
I left the library with a small smile on my face.

Elena had been attacked by a vampire. Again.
Stefan and Elena were on the couch while I paced. "How did he get in?"
"He was invited in," Elena answered.
