Two updates in one day? Damn. Alright let's go!

Eli woke up on Dyna's lap. He looked around the room but only saw Countershade setting up a camera on the ceiling. "Good mornin' little doggy. Ya sleep well?" He said suddenly. Eli started slightly when Shade turned to look at him. "What? din' think I'd notice ya wake up?" Eli shook his head. "Yeah well. Noticn' things is what I do. Can't expect to be a master marksman without a lil' patience here and there." Eli then noticed his arm was normal and not a sniper. He also noticed that he wasn't as cold as he was when they first met. "Judgin' from that there expression you got lil' doggy you're wonderin' why I'm a lil' different from how I was when first we met, correct?" Eli nodded wondering how Countershade could read his thoughts just by looking at his face. Shade shrugged, "I dunno. I'm in a good mood righ' now." Eli stared for a bit longer. "You seem to be very perceptive." He said nonchalantly. Shade grunted. "And you seem to be a rage outlet for the bat shit crazy militia man but hey I don't care. Don't mean that I don't feel sorry for ya though." Shade then dropped from the chair he was standing on and walked off. "Heh. Master marksman. As if, his heads shoved so far up his own ass he wouldn't be able to aim for shit." Brandish muttered. He then sat up and saw that Eli was awake. He was staring at Brandish who looked sheepish, "Err, don't repeat those words young one." Eli cocked his head to the side. "Why? What do they mean?" Brandish stood up quickly and walked away, "Never you mind what they mean." He then stuck his head around the door frame. "But if you do repeat them you learned the words from Countershade, understood?"

It was when Brandish was halfway down the hallway he remembered that he hadn't gotten Cryosphere for Doctor White or told anyone about Sanda visiting. "Well damn."

Apparently there was a dining room. Pyrogen found it the previous evening and the mighty numbers (Save Beck, Eli, Dyna and Brand) had set about making it look nice. The room consisted of a large circular table that had many scented candles on it and chairs that could support each of the mighty numbers design. The seats were placed in numerical order so that meant that it went around as : Pyrogen, Cryosphere, Dynatron, Seismic, Battalion, Aviator, Brandish, Countershade, Beck and finally Eli. Breakfast had already been made and everyone was sat in their respective places. There was a slight tension in the air. Dynatron had informed everyone of Battalion's antics and suffice to say they were less than pleased. Battalion kept scowling at Eli as though it was all his fault. Eventually Eli snapped when Battalion passed a comment in the silence, "How does it feel runt? How does it feel to be nothing more than a shadow, a copy of someone greater than you? You worthless pile of shit." Everybody fell silent. It was rare for Battalion to speak and not shout. Eli felt an uncontrollable anger- no. An uncontrollable RAGE. Who the hell did he think he was? Eli went to stand up but Beck gripped his arm. Snapping his head round angrily he saw Beck shake his head and mouth "Not worth it." Eli felt his rage dissipate and he sat back down, eating what Beck called cereal in silence. Battalion didn't let up though and eventually Eli ran away to escape the verbal assault.

Battalion grinned beneath his mask. "WELL GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD TRASH I SAY." Surprisingly it was Countershade that came to Eli's defense. "Jus' what the hell is yer problem Bat!" He shouted across the table. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN OPERATIVE COUNTERSHADE?" Shade smashed his fist against the table, "Don't start with that shit Bat! All of us know what ya did yesterday and don't try and deny it my cams caught every angle of it and Dyna sure as hell told everyone! So I'll ask again. What the hell is yer problem!" At this point everyone was glaring at Battalion who in return got up and walked away. Countershade sighed and plopped down onto his chair. Brandish placed a hand on his shoulder. "Thank you for protecting the young one." Shade looked over. "Whatever spook. I just hope Bat comes to 'is senses soon." Everyone muttered out affirmative responses. It would be better for all when Bat stops being stupid.

Eli kept running. He wiped tears out of his eyes as he ran. He eventually found himself collapsing to his knees in exhaustion and let his tears run freely. "Huh? Eli? What's wrong?" Eli looked to where the voice was coming from and saw Doctor White looking rather concerned. Eli spared no thought for dignity as he ran up to the professor and hugged him tightly. White in turn hugged back almost on reflex. He knew of what Bat was doing through Shade's cameras but he didn't realize that it was having this much effect on the child. He was no medical doctor but he could tell that the boy was going through some kind of emotional trauma. He was going to have to have a serious talk with Battalion later. "Bat's having that much of an effect on you huh?" White felt Eli nod into his chest. "Well. I'll give him a stern talking to. Now how's about we cheer you up? I have a friend coming round later and he's quite the jolly fellow. And he has a robot companion. And didn't you know? She's Beck's girlfriend." He said the last part in a conspiratorial whisper. Eli looked up in fascination, "Really?" White grinned. "Yep. Wanna meet her?" Eli nodded multiple times in rapid succession. "Well that's great. Call is such a nice person, I'm sure you'll get along with her just fine. Now, will you help me clean up the lab?" Eli nodded again and set about tidying up The doctor's work area.

                                                                                                  (Time skip)

Pyrogen was staring at a car that pulled up outside the window. "Hey Brand?" He called. "Are we expecting anyone here today?" Brandish walked over. "Yes, Doctor Sanda is calling around at some point today." "What does his car look like?" Brand thought for a moment, "I believe it is red and the number plate is S4Nd4 r1c."  Pyro checked the car and it matched the car outside. "Welp, he's outside now." Brandish nodded. "I'll go inform everyone else then."

The mighty numbers, Eli included, gathered in the main lobby awaiting Doctor Sanda. When the man finally arrived everyone gushed forward and began happily conversing with the man. Eli stayed back for a bit and observed the man. He was rather fat and had a pair of circular glasses perched on his nose. he wore a white lab coat and seemed to be a rather jolly person just as the Doctor said. He considered approaching the man but decided against it. He was about to walk off when Sanda spotted him and called him over. Eli turned and walked over slowly, nervously even. Sanda smiled and waved at the boy as he approached, "Hello there little one! Who might you be?" Eli was oddly comfortable around the man and replied almost instantly, "I'm Eli! It's nice to meet you doctor Sanda!" Eli chirped happily. Sanda chuckled and gave the boy a pat on the head. "So where's this new mighty number I've heard so much about?" Sanda asked. Countershade cleared his throat and pointed to Eli. Sanda looked at Eli in disbelief. "Really? Wow. White you make them more realistic each time." Sanda crouched down to Eli's level. "So you're the new number huh? Well little fella you got a lot to live up to." He then gave the boy a good natured hug and walked about to find his science partner.

It was then Beck began to back off slowly and hid in the shadows to make his escape. He had a date to go on.
