"Exactly how did you end up with... her?" Cryosphere asked incredulously over the comms line. Eli sighed as he explained it again to his surrogate sister. "Miss Raychel. But it's perfectly okay, nothing bad is happening! I think. Well I'm not dead so that's good right?" He asked chirpily, trying to dispel the negative attitude. Cryo groaned and shook her head. His naivety was adorable but it didn't help him out of a great many situations. "Sure it is Eli... Look, just stay where you are, We'll swing by nd pick you up okay?" She said, trying to force as much enthusiasm into her voice as she could. "Okay Sis! See you soon." Eli said as he cut the link. Turning around he bumped into Raychel's legs and fell backwards onto his rear. "Oh, sorry miss Rayche..." He trailed off when he saw her expression.
She towered over him with a glare that would make a ferocious tiger look like a cowardly kitten. "And just who were you talking to boy?" She growled as she crouched down and seized Eli by his arm, to which the small bot flinched and tried to pull himself free, "Ah! Raychel that hur-" He yelped in pain as Raychel yanked him upwards. "WHO!" She screeched as she tossed him backwards. Eli scrambled backwards as soon as he hit the floor, clutching his arm with tears in his eyes. Raychel immediately calmed down when she saw him, "Kid, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hurt you." She said as she walked up to him. Eli flinched away from her and darted to the door, opening it and slamming it behind him as he darted out of the apartment, through the window and out into the street, rolling as he hit the ground before taking off running. Raychel watched him run with a sad gaze before closing the blinds and sighing. "I should get moving. The rest of them will be here soon."
True to Raychel's prediction, Beck, Seismic and Brandish were making their way across the city towards the source of Eli's call. "Faster you two! Lord knows what Ray is doing with Eli." Beck called to the others as he quickened his pace. "Calm yourself Beck, the young one is fine. I sense it." Brand reassured him as he ran off of the sidewalk and onto the side of buildings, hopping to the next one when necessary. "He's right Beck. We'll find the young one." Seismic said quietly as he too sped up, keeping pace with his brother's unexpected boost of speed. Beck nodded quietly as he continued to run.
Meanwhile Eli was also running through streets, wiping tears from his eyes and stuttering out apologies to any stranger he bumped into. He eventually came to a halt when he found nowhere else to run. He'd arrived at a train station. His sorrow was momentarily forgotten as he took in the interesting, new area. He watched as trains pulled into the station, hovering just above the rails. "Magtrains." He said quietly as he watched one rise off of the rails and take off on it's way. "They sure are." A voice said behind him. Eli turned to look up at the speaker. The woman in question was an older model of robot, copper in colour and about the average height of an adult human. She wore the uniform most of the staff appeared to be wearing. She smiled at Eli and crouched down to his height, "Hello there little one. Is your handler around? I assume they don't want such a precious little robot to get lost." Eli shook his head. The woman was a stranger but she sounded kind. "No? Well then we'd best get you to the reception area. We can call your creator there~" She said as she led Eli towards the station. Eli followed her wordlessly, not noticing the small smirk she had on her face.
On the other side of the street a human and a security robot stood up and followed behind them.
