III

Ivan opened his eyes slowly at the sound of thunder, he looked around him to remember he's at Ethan's home, he checked his phone to see it's 4 in the morning, the thunder was hard and he was starting to feel scared, but then it got even worse as he heard a door slam shut again, he tried to think aisely like Ethan and kept moving trying to fall asleep again but instead he woke Ethan up

He looked around him till he saw Ivan

"Ivan what are you doing?" He asked in a sleepy voice his eyes half open

"Sorry i woke up because of the thunder" Ivan said scared

"It rains every night you're not used to it?" Ethan asked facing Ivan

"Honestly i'm scared.." Ivan said bitting his lips

"Ivaaaan!" Ethan said rolling his eyes

"Sorry sorry, i'll sleep now" Ivan replied closing his eyes then Ethan turned around and Ivan opened his eyes again sighing

"Can i walk around?" He asked and Ethan sighed too

"If you're scared without moving, you think you can walk around? And you can if you want anyway" Ethan replied as Ivan jumped out of bed and left the room

Just as he left he saw the living room lights were on and his heart started racing as he knew everyone's asleep

The door then started to open, Ivan getting colder from fear, he the sighed in relief as he saw Ethan's father, the man looked at him awlwardly, because what is he doing here and why does he look as scared as a chicken that's about to be killed

"Ivan are you okay?" He asked as Ivan put his hand over his heart trying to calm down

"Yeah yeah" he said

"What are you doing here now shouldn't you be asleep?" Ethan's father asked

"Yeah i couldn't sleep so i asked Ethan if i can sit here he said yes" Ivan said as he finally calmed down

"Oh okay, the thing is, there's something i don't know how i'll tell Ethan about... i'm worried about his reaction" Ethan's father said worried

"What is it?" Ivan asked just as worried

"Our neighbor's son, Jake, who was a close friend to Ethan, he just died"
