There are a specific set of categories FAA will allow in submissions. 

                          
As this is NOT a people's choice awards where you have to depend on the people's opinions to win and we want to focus solely on the quality of work and not the amount of following, Judges reserve the right to accept or deny requests of particular genres. 

                          
To see the categories for awards scroll further down. HEED the genres which we accept, if the genre you're looking for isn't there, that particular work can't be submitted—and if it is regardless, it will be ignored.

If the genres you're looking for are not here; that is General Fiction, Historical Fiction, FanFiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry, Chick-Lit, Action, Adventure, Horror, Humor, Random, Spiritual, Vampire, Werewolf it means we don't accept those genres in this contest. Come back again. 

                          
There are only a small number of accepted genres because at the moment there are only 2 judges. That's right. We're hiring. Please sign up to be a judge so that this contests judging process isn't as lengthy as it will currently be. 

                          
In the future if we amass enough following, we will have People's choice, and as such all genres will be accepted. But that's a long term goal, so all genres are not accepted at the moment.

                          
IN ADDITION TO THE AWARDS GRANTED FOR EACH OF THE GENRES LISTED ABOVE THAT WE ACCEPT, there are some special awards reserved for very special novels.
