"Do I look good? I feel over dressed." I say.
Ian looks at me. "You look fine."
"What if she hates me?"
"If she does. She won't say anything."
"Ian!!! I'm really freaking out."
"She'll love you. Your great."
I sigh. I look at my outfit. I'm wearing a red sweater with a high-waisted black skirt and black leggings. Black heels. Which are actually easier then I thought they would be to walk in. I thought I would fall right away. Since I fall even in regular shoes.
We pull up at his house.
"Oh my gosh. Take me home."
Ian laughs. "Don't worry. My parents aren't evil. They're only mean to me."
I get out. His house is actually nice. It's a two story building.
Apparently Jen is here which makes me feel better, but her aunt and uncle are too. Apparently she talks about me and they also wanted to meet me. I said apparently to many times in that paragraph.
I walk in.
"Ian!" I hear someone say.
"Hey auntie. Hey uncle." Ian says. Hugging them.
"This must be the famous Cazey. Jen has said so much about you. Dinner is almost ready. Follow me." His aunt says, grabbing my hand.
Ian smiles. I give him a mean look. I follow his aunt and uncle. His uncle pulls the seat out for me and pushes my chair in. Ian sits beside me. Jen is across from me. She gives me a smile. I sigh. I look over and see Ian's mom walk in with food. Ooo, my favorite thing in the world. Tied with sleep.
I smile. Seeing the food. I love food.
"Why don't you stare at me like that?" I hear Ian say.
"You're not food." I mumble.
"I have never seen her look at anything like she looks at her food and her bed. You'll always come second. Food and sleep are tied for first." Jen says.
I nod. "This food is keeping me from freaking out because I'm so nervous." I whisper.
He smiles. "Don't worry. The worst that can happen is my parents argue with my aunt and uncle. Which will most likely happen."
Everyone sits down. Ian puts food on my plate for me. I feel my knees starting to shake.
"So. Cazey, right?" His dad says.
I look at him. "Oh Uh... Yeah. That's my name."
"It's a good name. Sorta unique."
"It's spelled with a z instead of a s." I say.
"Oh. So CaZey." He says putting emphasis on the z.
I smile. "Yeah. Just like that."
"With the extra emphasis and everything?" He ask.
I laugh. "Yeah."
He laughs.
Ian leans over. "You're doing great." Ian whispers.
I start eating.
"How are your grades?" His mom ask.
I look at her. "A's and B's. Mostly A's."
"Oh. Your parents must raise you well. You look healthy."
"Could be better, but yeah."
"You dislike your mom?"
