Luke agreed.

Right now. I'm sitting with my dads new son. He called me out I guess he asked my dad what was going on and he mentioned I was having money troubles. I would've said 'my friends lives are in danger and they could all die if I don't get the money needed' troubles. What teenager goes through this shit?

"I can help with your money problem."

"You have 434,800 dollars?" I ask.

"I said help. Not solve."

I sigh. "You seem like a good kid. Which is why you should really leave me alone? You could get hurt bud."

"I wanna help you."

I get up. "You can't help unless you have the amount I mentioned." I walk away.

"You're scared he'll come for me." He says. "That's why you don't wanna get involved with me."

I continue walking. I fiddle with my bracelet. I go home.

I look at my mom who's sleeping on the couch. I'm sorry mom. I go into her room. I start going through her drawers. I found a small box. I lift it... Her engagement rings. I remove them from the box and shove them in my pocket. I put it back where it was. I leave her room.

I go to a jewelry store.

"Hi. Welcome." The clerk says.

"How much can I get for this?" I ask. Putting the ring down.

"It looks really expensive."

"Do you think I could get about 500,000 for it?"

She sighs. "Not that much. Maybe about 100,000. It looks really expensive. How much did it cost?"

"I don't know. My mom asked me to get rid of it."

"Let me talk to my manager."

I smile. I look around. Gosh everything here is so expensive. I look at the rings in the case. I wonder if Ian would buy my ring here. Will we even last that long? Don't think about marriage.

"I can give you 200,000 for it." Another lady says.

I smile. "That'll work."

I grab the money.

She grabs my wrist. She looks at my bracelet. "This looks like a one of a kind. I think you could get alot of money for it."

"How much do you think I would get for it?"

"More than you did for the ring."

"I can't sell this. My brother got it for me."

"Oh... If you change your mind."

I walk away. I get in my car. I grab my calculator. Okay. So to be able to have all the money we need 234,800. We currently have 265,200. We have enough for half... 234,800 more and we'll be good.

I'm with Jen and Opal.

"How'd you get 200,000?" Opal ask.

"I should've asked for more. I sold my mom engagement ring."

"Did she say you could?"

"She better be happy if she survives."

"We might get the extension."

"I doubt it. Let's just try and get the rest." I look at my wrist.

"How much do you think I would get for it?"

"More than you did for the ring."

I sigh. I look at my friends. I look at my bracelet.

"I know how to get the rest of the money." I say.
