"Recognized: Batman 02
Robin B-01"
Wally grinned before he sped over to the entrance of the cave, hugging Robin.
This caused said Robin to let out a small squeak of surprise while Batman inwardly sighed. Sadly, he was used to this kind of stuff.
The rest of the team approached the three. Kaldur opened his mouth to ask the man something, but he was cut off by a certain hyper-active speedster,
"Do you have a mission for us?!"
"Actually, yes." Batman replied before continuing, "Robin and I had a run-in with the Joker recently. He managed to escape, but we obtained a device. We have reasons to believe he has yet to use it. We don't know what it does yet. The League and I have decided to leave it here, in the mountain. Do not touch it."
He emphasized that last part.
"With all due respect-" Kaldur began but he was once again cut off by Wally.
"Why you leaving it here?"

*After Batman explained how the device couldn't be taken to the Watchtower because a barrier appears around it when it tries to leave the Earth for some unknown reason*
Robin was sitting on top of Wally, clearly to prevent the other from playing around with he device Batman had brought in earlier. That was what Artemis saw when she sneaked a peek in Robin's slightly parted door.
Artemis pretend gagged before getting a bad idea. Robin was too occupied with trying to prevent Wally from touching the device, that meant she would have a chance at finding out what the machine did.
She signaled M'Gann, who she convinced to go along with the plan. They rushed to the room that held the device. The two examined it, looking for a way to turn it on. That was when the door flew open.
"KALDUR?!" (He apparently has a thing for busting down doors)
"How did you know we'd be in here!?"
Kaldur had a serious face on and he replied calmly.
"I saw you guys head this way and I knew you'd both be curious as to what the device does."
Right then they heard footsteps and a "Oh. My. God! Why is the room so far from yours!? Ugh! This is taking too long, I'm carrying you!"
As soon as they heard the last three words, Wally appeared at the door with Robin in his arms, bridal style. Robin's flustered face was replaced by a mad frown, though his face was still a tad pink.
Artemis quickly grabbed M'Gann's hand and pressed a random button that was on the machine.
"Please be a teleportation device," she repeatedly thought.
When she opened her eyes, she grinned and exclaimed happily, "Yes!"
Then she turned to M'Gann, ready to make a comment when she noticed the frown on the other girl's face.
"What's wrong, M'Gann?"
"We're still in the room, but the other's disappeared!"
Artemis looked around, realizing the alien's words were true. What did the device do?
She panicked, thinking she accidentally obliterated her team.

The girls had spent an hour checking the whole entire mountain, minus Robin's room (stupid password).
