One-Shots from The Bird Who Wouldn't Sing

Cheer up!

Alfred opened the door, catching the person on the other side by surprise.

"Oh, hey, Alfred!" Wally greeted with a half smile.

"Good Morning, Master Wallace," Alfred greeted back, causing Wally to wince.

"Just call me Wally, wouldja?" Wally asked, cringing a bit, though he knew the butler would continue to address him that way.

"Any changes?" Wally questioned, voice serious.

"I'm afraid not. Although, he likes to pretend that everything's fine. He is a bat afterall."

"He up yet?"

"Why of course," The butler nodded.

He threw an "Alright, thanks!" over his shoulder as he sped upstairs.

"No running in the mansion," Alfred scolded halfheartedly, a fond smile on his face.

He hadn't commented on what the boy was carrying. He didn't have to.

Richard Grayson opened his eyes with a frown. The person knocking on his door is being really impatient.

It's most likely Wally.. He thought as a small smile made its way onto his face.

He got up and opened the door..

EEK!

Robin let out a surprised squeal as something giant fell on him. It wasn't heavy, but it did catch him off guard and had been shoved quickly onto him..

"Oh! Gosh, sorry!" Wally sheepishly said, helping his birdie get off the floor.

Blinking, Dick stood there, in surprise. He turned to the "something giant." It was a giant Pikachu plush!

"I got him from Japan!" Wally exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.

Seeing Rob's curious expression, he decided to elaborate. His grin shrunk a bit.

"Well.. You've been pretty in the dumps lately, we all have! So I thought, "What brings smiles?" That's right! A giant plushie!" Wally's voice gradually rose, "Not only that! I didn't want to get you some random teddy bear, that's WAY too cliche! So, I got you a Pikachu 'cause Pokemon are cool and since he has a thunder bolt tail.."

"I'd think of you," Rob mouthed, smile back on his face, though this time, it was bigger.

"Exactly! Thinking about me, your favorite person, is bound to cheer you up even.." Wally trailed off when Dick wrapped his arms around Wally.

"How's the team?" He wrote on the Speedster's back. He hadn't been to the mountain since he heard about how Black Canary would act as a psychologist, which wasn't too long since they were released from the simulation.

"They are.. still.." Wally didn't know how to put it, but Dick understood.

He just hugged a bit tighter.

They stayed in silence for a while.

Wally was the one to break it.

"..It's not your fault you know."

The younger of the two shook his head. He muttered, "We all thought it was real.. I sent us to our deaths, I sent you to your death."

"It was a 'made-for-failure' exercise, remember?"

"..."

"How are you holding up, Wally? You're always thinking about ways to make me feel better, but how do you feel?" The younger boy mouthed as he played with Wally's hair.

The other only shifted in his sleep, as if he could tell someone was talking to him.

Wally groaned.

"What a longg day.."

He was currently walking through his neighborhood, making his way home. Yes, walking.

Wally was too tired to speed there. He had woken up at the mansion and noticed the time. He forgot to tell his parents that he would be over at Dick's.

He let out another groan as he thought about how much trouble he'd be in.

Yup, lots of trouble. On the bright side, they didn't ground him this time!

He let a sheepish grin make its way onto his face before opening his bedroom door.

Right on his bed, was a Crobat and Fletchling plush set! Not only that, the Crobat had Batman's cowl and Robin's domino mask!

He grinned wider before he realized.

"How did Rob get this here?" It was pretty obvious that it was from his little birdie, he just didn't know how.

He was at his house before going over to the mansion, these two were clearly not there when he left.. He was with his boy wonderful since, so when did he get over here? Also, how'd he get here and leave before Wally managed to show up?

"Bats.." Wally sighed with a shake of his head, grin back in place.
