Hazel

We had been traveling for about a week when we came across the hellhounds. There were 5 of them, about the same size as Mrs. O'Leary. It was terrifying. They surrounded us while we were walking across the sidewalk in a small town in Minnesota. We had hitched hiked to an entrance in MN. Chiron said that we needed to go to a demigod's house in the town and she would show us the way to the underworld. The hellhounds were about to pounce on us when one of them collapsed. I saw a girl about my age, holding a sword. "Are you Hazel?" She asked me. I managed to stammer out a yes, and she ushered me inside her house. The hellhounds outside were prowling around the perimeter of the house, but they didn't seem to be able to get through to the driveway. A woman's voice sounded from the kitchen. "Alex! Who did you bring in this time?" "No one mom!" She yelled back. "C'Mon. Let's go to the basement before she gets suspicious." We followed her to the basement.

"Okay, let's start with names. I'm Alex, daughter of Hephaestus." We went around in a circle.

"Will, son of Apollo."

Hazel, daughter of Pluto."

"Leo, son of Hephaestus."

"Okay, so I have a brother, that's cool. What did you guys come here for? I assume you want passage somewhere. Otherwise you're just here for no reason." She said, getting the point across. Leo spoke up. "Yeah, we need passage to the underworld. But first, I have some questions." Alex raised an eyebrow. "What kind of questions?" Btw I own Alex. She is an O/C and she might die.

"Why aren't you at Camp Half Blood?" I ask. Again, she raises an eyebrow. "Camp what now?" We all gasp. "Camp Half Blood is a safe place for demigods." Will explains. Her eyes light up. "You mean I could get away from here?" She whispers. We all nod slowly. "Where is this place? How do I get there?" Leo speaks up. "It's in New York." She looks downhearted. "Oh..." Then I get a brilliant idea. "We can take you with us to the underworld, then to camp half blood!" We all agree that that would be a good idea. Then Will asks a question.

"How did you know about your dad? How did you keep the hellhounds away? How did you know how to -" Alex cuts him off.

"My mom explained everything to me. The force field was her doing, she said she was 'blessed by Hecate' I took up fencing a while ago, and my dad gave me this coin as a gift for my 10th birthday. It allows me safe passage anywhere, as long as I have my mother's consent to go there. Speaking of which, we should probably get you to the underworld now. Everybody hold hold on."

With that, we were whisked to the underworld.

A/N: So I added Alex because I wanted some more characters and I wanted someone different to mix it up. Also, I'll explain. Alex's mom can see through the mist, and is blessed by Hecate, meaning she has magic (like Hazel) Also I wanted Leo to have someone on this trip cuz Hazel and Nico are siblings, Will and Nico are radical lovers, so how Leo has a sister. If Alex leaves for Camp Half Blood, the coin will be rendered useless, and won't transport anyone anywhere. ALSO, the coin. It... contains... something. Alex's mother used the coin to... contain... some of Alex's... power. *hint hint* *hint hint hint hint*
