I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to see Tobias standing behind me. I get up, beaming.
"You think giving you a hug would give away too much?" he says.
"You know," I say. "I really don't care."
I stand on my tiptoes and press my lips to his.

Tris POV

When we finally pull apart, I can feel Christina's eyes staring at my back and know that sooner or later I'll have to explain. I turn around and before she can say anything, I say "Not now. I'll answer all your questions later." She just nods and turns to go pack. I turn to Tobias. "I should probably go pack. I'll see you later. Bye."
"Bye." He says as I turn to leave.
As soon as I walk into the dormitory, Christina asks "How long has this been going on? Why didn't you tell me about it?"
"A few days and we didn't want people to think my ranking was a result of favoritism, which it is not." I return.
"You know I wouldn't have thought that." she says and continues packing. I don't have very many things, so I put them all in a single duffle bag and swing it onto my bed. "So, how did this all start?" Christina asks, breaking the silence.
"Well, it depends on what you mean by all. I first figured out that I really had feelings for him on the Ferris wheel. But later, he took me into his fear landscape. No, I can't tell you anything about it. After it was over, he took me down to this rock down at the chasm. We talked for a bit and then he kissed me. God, Christina. Talking about this makes me feel like a total girl."
She shrieks and then laughs at my little joke. "I knew it! I knew that morning! It is not normal-"
"What's not normal?" Will asks, just walking in.
"For me to be happy," I say. "Christina was just freaking out over the fact that I'm with Four."
"Well, most people wouldn't date their instructors!" Christina argues.
"Whatever. I'll see you guys later, alright?"
"Bye!" Christina winks at me. I roll my eyes back at her and sigh as I open the door. I walk to Tobias's apartment and knock on the door.
"Hey," he says, opening the door for me to come in. I go and sit on his bed. "What's up? Have you decided what job you're going to take?"
"I'm not sure. Maybe an ambassador to the factions? I want to train the initiates too, though. I guess I could do both, since the training thing is just half time." I look over to see Tobias smiling at me. "What?" I ask.
"Nothing," he says. "It's just that you want to take two jobs. Most people just take one." He laughs.
"Well, I'm not most people," I say, leaning in. "Besides, I want to be able to spend some time near you." He smiles, then looks down. I wonder what I've said wrong. When he looks back up, I can tell he is nervous.
"Tris, would you want to move in with me?" he asks.
I don't understand why he was so nervous about that. "Yes. I have one question, though. Why were you so nervous to ask me that?"
He smiles and shakes his head. "I don't really know." I smile and wrap my arms around his neck. He leans in so our lips are just centimeters apart and I close the distance. I don't know how long it is before I pull back to breathe, but when I do someone knocks on the door. Tobias walks to the door, talks to someone, and comes back within five minutes.
     "Who was that?" I ask.
"Zeke is throwing a party tonight. Feeling up for it?" he asks.
"Sure, but let's not let people know about us who don't already know. I think it'll be funny watching them try to figure it out." I say. I really do think it would be funny. Confused faces. Well. "As long as I can keep Christina from gabbing, it might actually work."
He laughs. "Great. Oh, and dress in layers. You never know what may happen when you're at one of Zeke's parties."
"Wonderful," I say. "I'll see you soon." He tells me that Zeke's apartment is just a few doors down to the left of his and I leave. I walk to the dorm to think about what jobs I am going to pick and find some things to wear to the party.
