Tris's POV
It's a week past the twins' due date. I'm not sure how much longer I can handle this. I may be Dauntless, but no one should have to deal with this much pain for nine months. The nursery has been ready for several weeks, and Christina and Will got married. I still couldn't believe it. Tobias walks into the living room with two plates full of food.
"You don't have to do this. I can get my own food." I tell him.
"I know, but I want to. You should be resting."
"I've had enough resting. What I need is ---" I gasp. My hand flies to my stomach, and I can't speak. Tobias just stares at me. "It's time. Tobias!" Tobias picks me up and runs all the way to the hospital. Probably not the best thing he could be doing for me right now.
--------------TIME SKIP--------------
They're beautiful. My babies. Aiden and Ashley. I couldn't think of any moment more perfect than this. I was holding Ashley in my arms just moments before she had to be taken away and was replaced by Aiden. Tobias takes Aiden from me and tells me to sleep. He kisses my forehead and walks over to the nurse, who has a worried look on her face. Before I can worry about what is wrong, I am carried off to sleep.
Tobias's POV
This is perfect. I couldn't imagine anything more perfect. I take Aiden from Tris's arms and tell her to sleep. I walk over to the nurse who is checking Ashley, and she has a worried look on her face. I immediately get worried. I hand Aiden to another nurse in the room.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"I'm sorry. Ashley. Well, I don't know how to say this. Ashley is..."
A/N: Sorry to leave a cliffhanger. Oh well. Congratulations to danster42 (Aiden) and superstarvaldez04 (Ashley). I put all the names in the order of the comments and used random.org to select the names. I liked how they both ended up beginning with As though.
