"Ashley is..."

Tobias's POV

"Ashley is...blind. I'm sorry. I don't know if she'll be able to live in Dauntless for very long."

"She will." I know she will. She has to. If not for me, then for Tris or for herself. I take Ashley and tell the nurse that I can handle things from here and thank her. I sit in the chair by Tris's bed and wait for her to wake up. When she does, I decide it's time to tell her. She was going to find out sooner or later, and I wanted to be the one to tell her. "Tris."

     "Yeah?"

I take in a deep breath and exhale. "Ashley is blind. The nurse said she doesn't think Ashley will be able to live in Dauntless for long." I wait for her response.

"She will. I know she will. You can teach her. We can deal with this." I smile at Tris's determination to not lose her child.

"Of course. Go back to sleep." I can tell that she doesn't want to, but she needs sleep. Her body needs to recover from all the pain that was eminent on her face. I cradle Ashley to my chest and fall asleep looking at the two beautiful girls in my life.

A/N: I'm going to be writing shorter chapters until further notice. So... Ashley's blind. How're the two going to handle this? Anyways. I'm writing another book. This one is of my own imagination though. I'd really appreciate if you checked it out. It's called From Ink to Life. I'll probably end up changing that title later though. Thanks guys!
