She chuckled and stared at me with nothing. There was nothing in her. Nothing whatsoever. That's the thing with humans, they are ruthless creatures. They kill because they can, they hurt because they want to, they make you suffer because they think you deserve it. It's for their enjoyment....

She came closer, and I leaped into the middle of the room. I was quick on my feet, careful not to mess up any important movements that could cause me my life. If I messed up and slipped even once, my plan would crumble.

She faced me, and entered the battleground that was infact the middle of the living room. We faced each other. There was no backing down now... I just had to stand there and take it, right? Wrong. Heheh, nope. Just you wait and see...

"Why are you running? Oh, are you afraid of me? You shouldn't be afraid of me. I'm your mom. Come here SWEETIE!" She leaped at me, and I stood there waiting for the pain. Her fist hit me once again, but when she tried to swing another time she failed by my blocking right hand.

I had the upperhand this time. She tried with her other fist, but I blocked that as well. She hadn't planned on me fighting back, but I was. I was a pretty unpredictable person. I kicked her in the right knee, and she backed up a few steps.

She grunted and tried to go for me again, but I only blocked once more. She tried to sweep me off of my feet with her leg, but I jumped up and I had clawed her with my claws that were, indeed, my fingernails. They didn't draw blood, but they did stun her.

I stood there. I needed to get her in a certain position for my plan to carry out...

She grabbed me by my long brown hair and punched me in the face, kicked me, and grabbed me by the neck and pushed me into a wall.

She then walked over to me slowly as I recollected what had just happened and where I was...

She grabbed me by the neck and lifted me up, slowly choking me. I tried to claw myself out of her grasp but her hands were as steady as stones.

I then did the unexpected...
I punched her in the nose- HARD.

She backed up, releasing her grip. She then lost her balance and fell to the ground gripping at her nose. I had no blood on my hands, but I knew I had fractured her nose.

I thought of the anime "One Punch Man" while replaying what I just did in my mind. That thought quickly vanished as I knew my plan had to carry out... NOW!

I ran swiftly and quickly to my room, and I slammed the door behind me and I locked it. My eyes scanned my room for things I needed to take and I began gathering them as quickly as I could... There was no time to waste.

I could hear her run to my room and my adrenaline kicked in. My door wasn't that strong, plus, she had the to my room key as well. I had to get out of here fast!

That's right, I was running away. I would run to the forest... I was run as far as my legs would carry me, which I knew was far. I was a quick runner.

I scanned the room for my things, and I nodded to myself as I figured out what I needed to take and carry.

I grabbed my Princess Luna satchel and threw it on my bed. I opened the bag with a quick swipe from my hands, and I began collecting what I needed.

There really wasn't much I could take, as I hadn't owned much. I had bought everything in my room except my uncomfortable bed.

I grabbed two of my wolf plushies which I had named "Multipaw," and "Astrid." I held them close to my heart before placing them in my bag.

I could hear banging on my door and I knew time was running out. I knew I needed to hurry.

"Quick.. Quick.." I muttered quietly beneath my breath. "Ah!" I whisper shouted as I found one of my most important things that I needed.... It was my wolf dream catcher. I clutched it in my fist, and then placed it into my bag.

I then grabbed a small, brown/black wolf figure of mine. It was in the howling position. I didn't remember where I had gotten it or Astrid, but I knew they were important. I also grabbed my phone, purple headphones, and charger. I placed them in the bag, and since I knew that I didn't need anymore clothes then I had on my back, I zipped the bag shut and threw the strap of the bag onto my shoulder.

I could hear fiddling with my lock on the door and I could hear a lot of banging as well. The door slowly creaked open, and with that, I bolted out of my door right past the human.

She tried grabbing my wrist, but I brushed right by her hands. I laughed slightly at how I was too swift for her.

I bolted right past all of the lonely and terrible memories that I had, had throughout my life. A single tear shed through my eyes as all of my memories flashed before my eyes as I pushed the door open and slammed it, making sure to lock the doorknob before I closed it.

I then ran.
I ran hard and fast.
I ran even when I couldn't run anymore...

I then found myself on the sidewalk of an empty street in the pouring rain and in the moonlight of the night. I sighed as my feet began to put themselves into a fast walk.

I was running wild and running free, just like the song Renegades by X Ambassadors said. I sighed... I had my headphones inside of my ears before I had even left and I had put some music on my phone. It was my Spotify playlist...

I'm Shadow, and this is my story.
