I woke up early and got showered and ready for the day. I was on my way to the storage unit when danny called me. 

Tay: I am on my way, I can only go so fast dano.

Danny: tay, listen to me, I need you here, you cant leave today, but if you help me I will pay for your ticket off the island.

Tay: what the hell is going on?

Danny: steve had to go in the woods after a group of escaped convicts. Yakuza are following them, no one can track them like you, please can you help.

Tay: meet you at the palace.

I headed that way hauling ass. I got to the palace and ran upstairs to the office. I got in and started changing into tactical gear. Kono handed me my badge and gun.

"who is he with" I asked.

"swat" kono said as danny, chin and lori came in.

"hold these" I said handing danny my gun and badge.

"for what" he asked.

I hit lori as hard as I could. She hit the floor immediately grasping her face and crying.

"if you weren't a lying bitch we would be on this mission together." I said sternly.

"not my fault you don't trust him and believe everything you hear" lori said standing while holding her face.

I took my gun and badge and put them on.

"well hear this, you are fired, turn over your gun and badge to danny and get the fuck out of my office building" I said.

"you cant" she said.

"she can" the governor said walking into the office."

"but sir" lori started.

"sir nothing, turn over your effects and go, you have a flight booked for the mainland, office job in Washington" the governor said.

"yes sir" she spat laying her weapon and badge on the table.

"steve is with four other men, swat, they were last heard from an hour ago, from here, waianai forest" the governor said.

"kono and chin your with me, danny its your call" I said.

"I'm gonna wait here for a call, I know you three can handle yourselves" danny said.

"I have my earpiece, let me know if you hear from him" I said.

"will do" danny said.

"lori, have a nice flight" I smiled.

"he deserves better, you cant make him happy" she said stepping in the elevator with kono, chin and i.

"ill prove you wrong, he doesn't like needed, dependent females, which is why you didn't go to our house because you knew he would never go for you" I smiled.

We stepped off the elevator. I turned to lori.

"if you ever step near him again, I will kill you, with full immunity and means" I smirked.

Her face read shock all over. She knew I wasn't playing with her. I was over playing her game. I loaded up in my truck with the others. We headed to the spot steve was last heard from. Chin was looking at the back of the truck.

"going somewhere" he asked.

"I am supposed to be on a plane to the mainland right now" I said.

"thank god you stayed" kono smiled.

"I didn't, danny asked me to do this, he's paying for my ticket after I find steve" I said.
