I walk up to the big door in front of the mansion. I knock on it three times. A man answers the door.
"Hello" says the man
"Hi, I'm sorry to be disturbing you at this time of night, But I'm lost" I reply
"Well... why don't you come inside and use our telephone." Said the man
"Well that would be very kind of you." I said back
"Do come in sir." He replied
I step inside and I introduce myself to the man.
"I'm Charlie." I noted
The man just smiles and looks at me.
"I'm Wadsworth, the butler." He replied
He took my coat and put it in a closet over to the left of me. He walks down a couple of steps and turns around and says
"You can use the telephone in the Library to call a friend to help." He noted
I walk over to the door he motioned to as he said that. He looks at me and smiles. I walk in and I see the telephone on a table. As I walk over to the telephone he says
"If that doesn't work, I'll be happy to offer you direction to where ever you would like to go."
I nod and he closes the door. I pick up the phone and I decide to call my friend Daniel. As I start to dial I remember that he is out of town. I then decide to call another friend... James. He should be home. It rings for about 10 seconds. I hear that he had answered.
"Hello" answered James
"James?" I replied
"Uh... yes, who is this?" He said
"It's Charlie." I replied
"Oh hey, what are you doing calling so late?" He asked
"Well you see I went out on a walk, then it started to rain so I decided to go back, but it seems as if I took a wrong turn somewhere and I had no idea where I was at." I replied
"So where did you get the phone?" He asked
"I had ran across this mansion and I went to go see if they had a phone, and luckily the man had one." I answered
"I can come pick you up, where is the mansion?" He replied
"Uh... I don't know let me ask." I replied
"Oh wait Charlie. I just remembered my car is out of gas and the gas station is 4 miles away, I would ride my bike over there but it's absolutely just pouring rain out there. I'm sorry Charlie." Said James
"Oh, hmm, well maybe I can find a hotel and you can maybe pick me up in the morning if it's not raining." I replied
"Or instead of being at a hotel for the night you can call Daniel to see if he can pick you up." He suggested
"No that won't work, Daniel is out of town." I answered
"Oh well then go to a hotel." Said James
"Alright I'll let you know when I get there ok." I said
"Alright bye" James replied
I hang up the telephone and open the door and walk into the hallway. I don't know where Wadsworth is at. I decide to just sit in the chair that is set up in the main hallway. I hear voices coming from the kitchen. Almost sounds like they are yelling. A woman walks out of the kitchen with an angry face and she stops quickly. Her face is no longer angry looking. She looks confused.
"Hello?" Said the woman
"Hi." I replied as I wave my hand slightly
Wadsworth comes out from behind her. I stand up telling him I need directions to the nearest hotel.
"Sir, why don't you just stay here for the night, there is no need to spend money at a hotel." He suggests
" I mean if that's no problem with you" I answered
He smiles and looks at the woman.
"Sir why don't you stay here while I prepare dinner." Said Wadsworth
"Sure." I replied
