The Mansion

Now We Wait

I hear a lot of sound coming from outside. I'm not sure if it's just the wind, but I decide to go check it out. I walked towards the door and unlocked it.

"What are you doing?" Asked Mr. Green

"I heard something from outside." I replied

I open the door and peek out.

"Be careful." Said Wadsworth

I step out. I look both ways. I see no sign of anybody. It must have just been the rain. I walk back in and close the door.

"Did you see anything." Asked Wadsworth

"No." I say as I shake my head

We all walk back in the study. Except Wadsworth. He has a confused look on his face. I walk back out.

"What's the problem?" I asked

He looks up wide eyed.

"Nothing, I was just thinking." Wadsworth replied

Everyone is seated.

"Who was on the first floor when we heard that loud thump?" Asked Miss Scarlet

"I was." Said Mrs. White

"Charlie and I were also, along with Yvette." Said Mr. Green

"Well it must have been one of you guys." Said Mrs. Peacock

"Maybe it's our new little friend, Charlie." Said Miss Scarlet

"Yeah, we let a stranger come stay in the house, none of this has ever happened before." Said Professor Plum

"No, I didn't do it. Honestly, I just got lost on the wrong night." I said as I panicked

"How could have it been him, he was inside when the cook died." Said Wadsworth

"And in the study when the police man died." Said Colonel Mustard

"And he was in the billiard room when Yvette died." Said Mr. Green

"Hmmm." Says Miss Scarlet as she takes a sip of her drink

"Are you sure there is no one else in the house Wadsworth?" Asked Colonel Mustard

"No." Wadsworth replied

"So there is someone else in the house." Said Colonel Mustard

"Mm, sorry I meant no meaning yes." Wadsworth replied

"No meaning yes?" Said Colonel Mustard

"Correct" Wadsworth responded

"So there isn't anybody else in the house." Asked Colonel Mustard

"Yes." Said Wadsworth

"Yes there is, or yes there isn't?" Asked Colonel Mustard

"No there isn't" Wadsworth replied

"Are you sure." Asked Colonel Mustard

"Certainly... not... look there could be, but I don't know, I'm just as clueless as you all are." Wadsworth replied

Colonel Mustard walked away shaking his head. None of us seemed like we found anything when we split up. All we found was Yvette Dead unfortunately.

"Well, why don't we wait till morning to leave?" Asked Mrs. Peacock

"But any of us could be killed by the time it's morning." Responded Professor Plum

"I suppose." Mrs. Peacock responded

We were all nervous. It was no where near morning. It was barely 1 in the morning. We were in trouble. 3 people have died in the span of 2 and a half hours. I arrived at 10 pm. We ate dinner at 10:30 ish. The cook died around 11:30 ish. The police died around 12, and Yvette died around 12:30. About every 30 minutes someone else died. I wondered if it was a coincidence, or a clue.

"Somebody seems to die around every 30 minutes." I said out loud

"Is that so..." said Mr. Green

"He's right!" Yelled Professor Plum

"Maybe just sit here until it's 1. If nothing happens then we know it's happening randomly." Said Wadsworth

We all agreed. We all sat down just speaking to each other. They asked me what I was doing for living. I told them I had just finished school to become a therapist. Miss Scarlet said jokingly

"Oh good, Mr. Green needs a therapist."

He looked over at her.

"What?" Mr. Green said as he laughed

We all just kind of felt awkward. We were waiting for someone to die. We didn't know who it would be, or even if someone was actually going to die. We just needed an answer on who was doing it. It's complete silence. Everyone looks extremely nervous, especially Wadsworth and Mr. Green. It was defiantly getting scarier and scarier as it got closer to 1.
