Violet was in her room in the Tardis, which had been given to her by the Doctor, flipping through shelves and throwing various cushions in all sorts of directions, she was looking for something. Something she prayed she hadn't lost because if it was lost then she didn't know what she would do.
''Looking for something,'' Jones's voice coming from the door startled her, so in defence she turned and through a cushion at him. Luckily he grabbed it before it hit his face, not that it would have done much damage anyway.
''Sorry and yes I am,'' Violet replied not even telling him what she was looking for.
''Is it this,'' Violet turned round and gasped. In between his finger and thumb Jones held a diamond ring.
''Where was it, I'd thought I lost it,'' She asked running up to him and took it from him as he handed it to her.
''In my pocket because you gave it to me just before we stepped into the Tardis for the first,'' Jones said sighing as he realised Violet had already forgotten.
''Oh, right thanks,'' She replied taking the ring she now had in her hands and putting it in a ring box that was in her bedside draw.
''I don't understand why you don't where?'' Jones asked watching as she shut the door with the ring now inside.
''Because if the Doctor see's it then he'll ask questions, and I don't want him to know right now,'' Violet explained grabbing a leather jacket from inside of her wardrobe to go with the 1950's dress she had picked out. The Doctor had promised the group to take them to see Elvis. Even though Violet and Jones had no idea who he was, they were still both excited about it.
''Why not?'' Jones asked. He himself was dressed in suit (without a tie, Jones hated ties) with his blazer undone and dress shoes on his feet.
''I've waited over 200 years to see him, I want to spend as much time with him as possible right know,'' Violet explained while looking at her outfit in the mirror.
''He has a time machine Vi,'' Jones pointed out.
''Exactly so he can just drop us off five minutes after we left, but for us we would have spent a long time with him and five minutes would have gone by,'' Violet spoke completely turning Jones's point on its head. ''Come lets go Rose and the Doctor are probably waiting for us.'' With that Violet grabbed Jones's hand and dragged him out into the control room, before then opening the Tardis doors to see Rose and the Doctor already outside waiting for them.
''Took your time,'' Rose called from the back of the moped her and the Doctor were sat on.
''Sorry Jones couldn't decide what shoes he wanted to wear,'' Violet shot back causing Rose to laugh.
''Alright, that enough we've got a show to catch, I found a moped for you two as well,'' The Doctor pointed towards a red moped off to the left of where Violet and Jones were standing.
After a debate between Violet and Jones as to who was going to be sat on the front of the moped, Violet won, the four were cruising down the road when Violet just about heard Rose ask the Doctor where they were going.
''Ed Sullivan TV Studios. Elvis did Hound Dog on one of the shows. There were loads of complaints. Bit of luck, we'll just catch it,'' The Doctor shouted loud enough for everyone to hear.
''And that'll be TV studios in, what, New York?''Rose asked.
'That's the one,'' Violet begun to giggle at the Doctor's response when she noticed a big red London bus drive across the road in front of them.
On seeing the bus both the Doctor and Violet stopped by post box. Looking around she saw that hung up on the side of houses and between lampposts were Union Jack flags.
