Chapter Two:

Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. -Marilyn Monroe

Twyla

"What do you think? The red one or the pink one?"

Lucy jutted her bottom lip out and nibbling on it. She scrunched her eyebrows in concentration staring at the two outfits.

I am currently lying on my stomach. Staring up at the devil in Prada and also the girl I call my best friend.

Lucy had barged into my room Saturday afternoon. Her hands filled with suspicious looking bags. She began to raid my closet, right after deciding on her outfit which took about...45 minutes.

She finally settled on a Lacey yellow crop top with sleek leather pants, dark sneakers and a white stone pendant to compliment her outfit.

"Uhh.....the red one?" I honestly didn't like either of them. But the red one was a knee length dress and had two thin straps to hold my junk in place. Hopefully.

"Yeah you're right. The pink one looks like Barbie puke anyway." She said. Thrusting the red dress in front of my face.

"Go try it on!" She ordered. Plopping down onto my bed.

I pushed myself off of the bed in slow motion dramatically. Reaching for the dress as she glared at me. I sighed. Padding away towards my walk-in closet and closing the door behind me. I tried on the dress and glanced at myself in the mirror.

Uh-oh.

The dress looked like I'll probably spill my cleavage onto the floor if I so much as bend over a little. I rolled my eyes. Walking further into my closet and running my fingertips along the clothes.

My eyes suddenly fell on a blue tie dye tank top. I remembered buying it last summer when I went shopping with Aunt Sarah.

I pulled it out and slipped out of the dress. Changing into the tank top and matching them with a pair of ripped shorts. I glanced at myself again in the mirror and smirked. "Much better."

"Twy! What is taking you so long?! I'm starving out here!" I heard Lucy's voice behind the door.

"I'm coming! Keep your hat on!" I chuckled to myself. Accessorizing the outfit and stepping out quickly.

She looked like she was about to yell a snappy comeback. She stopped mid-track and stared at me. Mouth wide open.

"The red dress sucks. It's too Megan Fox for me." I shrugged.

She closed her mouth and continued to stare at me for a moment. I could almost see the cog wheels turning on the top of her head. She finally nodded in approval. "I've taught you well. Throw on those dark blue converse over there and you're good to go."

"Thanks juicy Lucy. I'm honored to be your fashion Sherpa."  I sat down beside her. Pulling on the blue converse as she grabbed her sling bag.

"Do not call me that in public or I will bust out the big guns, now c'mon. I'm toast. All this fashion has got me craving for some chicken sandwiches and Doritos." I chuckled and grabbed my sling bag as we walked downstairs to the kitchen.
