Draco told Hermione about his encounter with Snape once he had awoken. Hermione herself didnt seem That surprised by the news.
" I had suspected that very thing to happen, been reading about that type of magic and it normally isn't a cure all, although there haven't been many acounts of human effects, or general accounts at all for that matter." Hermione said as they sat on the couch together, she had a book in her lap like always. " I am so glad the proffeser could confirm my prediction. "
" yeah me too." Draco said not really knowing how to feel about everything. It was all so foreign and strange. He was eager for a change of subject.
" youuuu know summer holiday is coming up, and I was wondering if you'd like to come stay with me?." Hermione said shutting her book and smiling broadly at draco.
" would that work would your parents ever let a boy come stay with them? And what would I do about my mum and dad. What about the clubhouse and the lupin program I don't know if I could handle my transformations even as is away from this place. " he said meeting her gaze. You could watch the excitement drain from her eyes.
" I thought you would be happy about this?!" Hermione got up and slammed her book to the ground thundering off to her unofficial room.
'Now you done it.' Draco said looking down to his feet, he wiggled his toes, and lowered his brows.
It wasn't that draco didnt want to go live with Hermione he just didnt see that being a possibility, infact there was nothing he wanted more then to spend his summer holiday with her. Her tip toed off to her room and stood by the door way, Hermione was pouting pretending to read a book.
" you know your books upside down." Draco said walking into the room.
" this information is gonna be big on the o.w.l.s iv got to know it backwards frontwards, rightside up and upside down. Cover to cover." Hermione said refusing to look up.
" really cause that's Harry's quiditch book." Draco smiled. Hermione gave a hard exhale and let the book drop from her face.
" sometimes your charmingness is completely unbarebale. Did you know that?" Hermione said she couldn't help but smile.
" oh yeah is that so?" Draco said sitting at the foot of the bed. There was a long silence of them just sitting there enjoying each others company waiting on the next move. " you know we won't be able to take the Hogwarts express. Dumbledoor doesnt let the lupin kids go back home over holiday." Draco said calmly.
" I'm aware, that's why iv got a plan. I sent an owl to my parents this morning, That we'd be arriving late." Hermione said smirking at her own cleverness.
" what did it say?"
" that theres a boy whos got abusive parents, and is desperate need of shelter. And that Hogwarts students aren't allowed to stay over the summer, no matter the circumstances. It wasn't a total lie " she said.
" you really are the brightest witch of our age."
Hermione blushed and Draco held her hand rubbing it over with his thumb.
" so you were just going to pick up and leave me here?! Pyra is missing has been for a week now and I'm the only one that seems to care!" Seamus appeared in the door way mad as ever.
" she's a free spirit it's in her nature to move around, shell come back." Draco said calmly.
"Yeah doesnt she do this all the time." Hermione added.
" but what if she's not, what if she's gone off and killed herself." Seamus was yelling now. Draco stood up and held onto his arm.
" then there's nothing we can do."
Seamus pulled his arm away his eyes getting watering. He'd blame himself if that's what happened.
" I'm taking the hippogriff and searching for her. I'm not being left alone again I will not be abandon, not again. "Seamus walked out into the living room, draco grabbed his arm again pulling him back. Seamus pulled it away and faced him.
" its my fault shes gone, iv got to go find her theyll kill her if they find her. Iv got to leave " Seamus's hands were sparking.
" so take us with you."
