The four were quiet and did there own thing. feeding themselves and lounging for the next hour or two until the peace was disturbed from some sweet music coming from outside Draco's window pane.
When he pearked his head out to look, a small area had been cleared of all clutter and large branches and a plat form made of wood had been set out. candles floated around the platform peacefully.
Hermione waved at him wearing her flower crown he had made for her all that time ago.
She waved up to him, he then rushed out of the tree house causing pyra and Seamus to curiously follow.
Outside Soft acoustic music was being played by a band of toads sitting on a stump.
Hermione handed draco his crown of twigs and as he placed it on his head his tee shirt and shorts turned into a nice dress shirt and cackys. He smiled how he had missed his formal attire, he loved feeling slick, neat, and tidy. Hermione smiled from ear to ear, The candles nearbye softly glowed as they bobbed through the air.
" may I have this dance." Hermione bowed and stuck out her hand.
" of coarse ma lady." Draco took her soft pale hand and around the floor they danced. Swaying gracefully and twirling. They both giggled uncontrollably.
" why did you decide to do all this?" Draco said still holding her tight. Her lacy white dress swayed with them.
" like I said, because I hate every second I'm not with you. And you've just been through alot lately so I thought I'd do something nice to cheer you up." Hermione said looking up to him.
" well I absolutely adore it." Draco said kissing her forehead.
" you missed." She said smiling.
" what?"
"You. missed." She's stood on her tip toes, even in her high heels she was rather short, and kissed him on his lips. They danced and danced her head pressed against his chest. He really was his reason, and he was hers.
Pyra and Seamus watched from afar. After awhile they decide to join them, seamus in his best sweater and jeans. And pyra in her favorite tee shirt tucked into a little jean skirt, complete with her bright untameable curls, both barefoot. The two weren't the type to slow dance together or to really dress up, and draco and Hermione had been at it for a hours.
" what kinda music is this, we need some better jams up in here. Take a break boys." She said tossing a couple coins to the toads.
The other three just stood there in silence.
"That is the most american sentence iv ever heard." Draco said still a little off guard.
Pyra had gone back into the clubhouse to fetch something. She came back out with and old record player and several vynls.
" I knew this thing was around here somewhere, it was my fathers collection. " pyra said placing it on the stump and enchanting it so it would work with out being plugged in. Ain't no mountain high enough began to play onto the platform where the other three stood. Each member of the u.k looked extremely confused. Hermione had heard modern music since she was muggle born, but never anything like this.
" you wizards and your classical music." Pyra rolled her eyes. She grabbed Seamus's shirt collar"dance."
Seamus began to copy what pyra did age sang and sang with the words knowing them by heart.
Listen baby, ain't no mountain high ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough baby.
The four teens began to dance and enjoy them selves. Draco got excited and picked Hermione up and put her on his shoulders.
If you need me call me no matter where you are no matter how far.
Seamus was a terrible dancer, at one point he tried to make a heart out of flame and ended up litting his sweater on fire, pyra rushed over to him with a glass of lemonade and poored it over him. Causing a whole drink fight in its self. Pink lemonade ended up on each and every one of them. The toads began to try and learn the music themselves. Even they seemed to like it. Seamus was over the moon for the pins ca lada song. Draco and Hermione both loved we gotta get you a woman, and of coarse pyras personal favorite brandy.
On one the slower songs Seamus went to grab pyras hand, she flinched, she was used to that anytime any one touched her, it was normally to repremand, or beat her. Not in many many years had she felt some one reach to touch her hand softly. Seamus pulled back thinking he was unwanted and when he did pyra grabbed his hand and squeezed it tight, never wanting to let go. They danced like that for sometime, holding hands laughing.
Don't worry baby, I'll be there in a hurry you don't have to worry. Cause baby there ain't no mountin high enough.
The four danced like there no tommorow.
Ain't no valley low enough.
Surrounding them was pure absolute beauty that is nature. The moon had risen in the sky, the sun had fallen, and the stars were awake glistening like pearls underwater. Soft candle light surrounded them, and lavender wild flowers grew towards the edge of their dance floor.
Ain't no river wide enough
They danced until there feet felt as if they were going to give out, and then they danced some more. To the songs that brought pure joy to their lives. To where the misfits found a place where they belonged. A place where draco no longer felt utterly and completely alone. A place where Hermione had love, real undying love. Where Seamus didnt feel out of the ordinary. Where pyra could be herself.
None of them had ever had this before, and all seemed perfect. As the danced under the light of moon, sining the songs that had been long forgotten.
To keep me from getting to you.
This was a place where they each could truly call home.
