So I'm starting this. Please know I am not a cutter I used to be but i've been clean for about a year- Nicole

"Kassie, I don't understand the big deal." I shrugged and rolled my eyes. "I don't absolutely need a boyfriend. Plus, nobody really appeals to me here since Dylan."

"That's the thing. You're living in the past Em. And you haven't even looked for any guy so you wouldn't know." Kassie is always pressuring me to get a boyfriend. She put her hand on my shoulder snapping me out of my haze. "Please just come with me Saturday night."

"No I don-" I was caught off guard by the swarm of girls in the hallway. What could they possibly be freaking out about... Another stuck up ass hole of a guy probably.

"What's going on?" Kassie and Cole asked in sync. We have been friends since 2nd grade, and are seniors in highschool now. Cole put his arm around my shoulder causing me to jump,

"Uh- I dunno." I shrugged "Let's go check it out." We made our way in the crowd but couldn't see anyone. I was mostly certain it's another heartbreaker. Kassie and I made our way back down the hallway.

"Well, I'll see you at lunch" She walked to her science class "Bye Em!" She finished, waving back to me and I waved slightly in response.

I leaned on the lockers grasping my wrists and waited for Cole. When I saw him literally crawl out of the crowd of girls I ran over to him laughing and I helped him up. Ignoring the burning sensation in my wrist,  I flinched at his touch. He looked at me,  hiding me from other people's views and inspecting my wrist. Him and Kassie are the only ones I actually talk to about my scars... If you haven't noticed by now, I'm a cutter. I have been ever since Dylan, my ex.

"Emma I wish I was there that night so you wouldn't have to do that to yourself" he wrapped his arms around me tightly. I could've sworn in heard him sniffle in my ear. He pulled away from the hug and entered the classroom, we sat down and pulled out our notebooks and he broke the silence

"Why don't you want to go with Kassie on Saturday night?" He slide his chair closer. I sighed

"Don't ask" I shook my head and tightly closed my eyes tightly "she's pressuring me again. Remember what happened last time I went out with her"

"Well yeah but she just wants what's best for you...so do I" he rubbed my shoulder "ever since that night Em you've built a wall around you. I understand that you don't want to be hurt again. And I don't judge you for not wanting to start anything new." Cole always made me smile when it came to Kassie. Truth be told she's a great friend but sometimes I wish it was just me and Cole. I love Kassie I do. My thoughts were interrupted by a guy walking into the classroom talking to Mrs O'Donnell.

"Class this is a new student from..." She looked at him with curious eyes.

"Oh uh sorry I'm from Nevada" he smiled. His smile is perfect

Was this who the girls were freaking out over?

"Tell us about yourself Nevada" Mrs O'Donnell said sitting on the top of her desk.

"Uh okay. Well My name is Brendon Urie. Uh I play the drums and guitar and piano. I sing a little. Me and my family moved here with my friend Ryans family....I guess we are close. And yeah that's it about me" he looked at the ground. A couple of girls and one guy giggled and played with their nails.

"Okay Mr Urie I'll sit you uh..." She gazed around the room until her eyes met the seat next to me. "Why don't you sit next to Ms Underwood" Brendon nodded and sat next to me in the back of the classroom. My eyes widened and I looked at Cole. He laughed, I turned around to face him and smiled.
