Chapter 2

I stood at the bus stop and felt arms around me. I looked over my shoulder it was Cole trying to scare me again.

"Can ya not come up behind me like a pervert" I moved his hands and looked at him. "You ass" I weakly pushed him. I lost my balance he caught me.

"Woah Em are you ok" he asked, I nodded and grabbed my backpack off the ground. The bus pulled up and we got on sitting in the same seat as every morning. Cole put his arms around me as I started to shake he took both my wrists putting his backpack in front of them pulling up my sleeves. I looked down at them and pulled them away.

"Emma when are you going to tell Brendon. Before he finds out on his own" he frowned 

"I...don't know. I wouldn't know what to say and.... Who could be friends with.... Someone with scars" I looked into his eyes

"Em I am." I nodded and the bus came to a stop. We got up and got off the bus in silence.  I walked to my first class and tried so hard to ignore Brendon and the others

*Brendon's POV*

I found Ryan at lunch and was he looking at her from across the room. He was looking at Kassie, I found Emma. She was talking to Kassie now so I'm hoping she'll talk me, she's been really upset latley They were laughing and she had a piece of paper in her hand it was pink. When they reached the table her eyes met mine and I smiled and we both blushed. She sat down next to me and handed me a paper I opened it and read it

Brenny you didn't do anything wrong I swear I just had a bad morning- Emma <3

 I looked at Emma her eyes met mine and she blushed I started playing with her hair as we continued to hold our gaze.

"Brendon I-" she whispered softly. My heart sank when she said my name. Why must she be so beautiful? GODDAMN she does so much to my mind.

*Emma's pov*

He stared into my eyes causing me to melt inside, he smiled.

"Emma" he whispered softly back to me. God I can't like him. I don't trust myself. Someone broke our gaze at each other by clearing their throat. I shook my head looking back at my friends who were all starring at us.

"What's going on with you guys?" Kassie asked. I looked at Brendon

"Nothing" we said in sync

"Oh my god get a room" she said again

"What do you mean?" I ran my fingers through my hair.

"The constant stares" Cole added

"The innocent touching.. Brendon" Ryan added. I looked down

"The blushing" Kassie added. They all laughed....I got up and left. I ran to my next class sitting in there with my water bottle and my sketch book. Soon enough I saw Brendon in the doorway looking at me. He ran in even though this wasn't his class he had gym this period.

"Em are you okay?" He put his hand on my shoulder rubbing his thumb back and forth. I shook my hand in a 50/50 way and hugged him. He hugged me back rubbing my back. "I have to go to class I'll be back" he whispered softly in my ear.

"Okay" he let me go leaving me with mixed emotions. Soon after he left Kassie came in sitting down next to me looking at me.

"Emma please just give him a chance" she placed her hand on my wrist most likely forgetting about my scars. I flinched " listen....if you find a way to trust yourself again then you could do anything. I mean seriously he cares about you I can tell." She had her hand on my shoulder now,
