Chapter 1

****Sommer's POV****

"Sommer!" I heard Mitch yell.

"I'm fine I got it," I yelled back. I stabbed the demon right in the chest and it disappeared.

"Yea that's right GO BACK TO HELL DEMON!" I heard Kiara yell. We had been on a walk when we ran into a group of demons.

"I got this one," I said walking over to Kiara who was putting an Iratze on Erika.

"Nice, are you hurt?" Kiara asked.

"No I'm fine," I said.

"When did Kiara finally become the responsible 20 year old that she is?" Mitch asked hugging his fiancé. Kiara and Mitch were going to get married in a year, according to Kiara.

"Uhhh when I turned 200," Kiara replied with a smile.

"You haven't turned 200, oh wait. haha your funny," I replied. We all may be 20 but we look like we're 18. When we turned 18 we stopped aging, physically, mentally we are still growing. But we are all stuck looking 18. Which can be a problem.

"Come on let's get back before more show up," Jackson said tugging Erika. The rest of us followed.

**back at the institute**

"Hey guys, why are you all covered in dirt," Jace asked as we walked into the institute.

"There were a few demons, but nothing we can't take care of," Kiara explained.

"Alright, was anyone hurt?"

"Not really," Erika said.

"Ok, Clary wants to see you in the library," Jace added as we walked past him.

"I wonder what Clary wants," I said.

"Yea," everyone else said together.

"Ahh there you 5 are," Clary said as we walked into the library. Dakota, Tyler, and Cody were running around the book shelves. Will was running after them, trying to get them to stop running. We all burst out laughing. Will shot us a glance and smiled.

"What did you need mom?" Kiara asked.

"Oh yea we need Kiara and Erika to go check out an old building. We were told that there were a bunch of demons roaming around there," Clary said.

"Woooh why just Kiara and Erika, why not me and Mitch and Jackson?" I asked.

"Because I have something for you three to do here," Clary said. I decided not to argue further, you'd never win.

"Alright, you two," she said pointing to Kiara and Erika, "go. And you three come with me."
