29 {} The Big Night

I WATCHED AS A PAIR OF BUTLERS CLEAN UP THE MESS. After the whole incident, Crystal called in help. Apparently Autumn was hit in the head with the rock and Indigo was cut with a flying piece of broken glass, these two butlers were cleaning the mess up, to my dismay. " Annabelle! " The Queens voice startled me but what startled me more was her giving me a hug. I immediately hugged her back of course. " What happened here? " Queen Amberly asked me and I sat down with her on the nearest couch. " The rebels decided to attack my room. " I said, showing her the rock while keeping the note clutched in between my hand. The Queen sighed angrily " They just wont stop. " She said and I nodded. There was so much pain in her voice and face, it was hard to bare. I could never relate to her or comfort her in any way because I honestly don't know what its like, but at the same time I cant imagine how hard it must be for her to constantly live in fear that she or her husband and children might get killed. The Queen looked up at me with her soft blue eyes " Lets keep this incident between you and me. If I told Andrew then he would just cancel the whole trip to New Asia " The Queen said and I gave her a puzzled look. " Why would he cancel the trip? " I asked her and she smiled " Hes convinced that you will get hurt or something " Queen Amberly replied and I nodded. " Anyways, I have something for you " The Queen said, trying to lighten the mood. " Princess Jemma left it at my room yesterday " Queen Amberly continued. As I opened the box, I found a note in it. Before I could even read anything the Queen stood up " Annabelle I will have your glass doors fixed, and improved. They will now be bulletproof, Fire proof, and rock proof " She said and I nodded. " Well, it was lovely talking to you, but I'm afraid I must go. Duty calls. " She said before I nodded smiling and she left with the butlers. I un-clutched the note on my left hand and opened it up, reading it again, and again, and again. I just couldn't wrap my head around this, did Liam send me this note? Or was it Trent? I don't know, but after the Report today, I have to go to the fence. Laia's life depends on it. I sighed deeply and pushed the crumpled not aside, and started to read the note in the box;

Hello Annabelle! If your reading this then the Queen must have given this package to you. I just wanted to let you know that Leila, Selena and Marina have all made mends. And to show you our gratitude we decided to give you this! Its made of the finest jewels from our countries! We hope you like it.

I took the note out of the box and gasped at what I saw. It was a diamond necklace. There were beautiful precious diamonds on the top of the necklace making its way onto the bottom which had a giant crystal white diamond in the middle. It was truly beautiful. I immediately got a pen and paper, I had to write them back. ' Dear, Jemma, Leila, Marina and Selena ' I begun and began writing ' Thank you so much for the necklace. It must have cost a fortune. You do not know how much I will treasure this. I'm really, glad you gave this to me because it symbolizes our friendship. Thank you so much. -Annabelle ' I ended the note and placed it carefully inside a envelope. I walked out into the hallway to come across some maids. " Here " I told one of them and she looked at me with adoration " Make three other copies of this and send them to Princess Jemma, Leila, Selena and Marina " I said and she nodded before running off. I don't care if she reads the note, I just want it to be sent. I walked back to my room and closed the door. I sat on my bed and looked at the clock. 10:05 " Crap! " I mumbled and ran off out to the hallway. Silvia was so going to kill me. I ran into the woman's room and everyone was staring at me. " I'm here " I said and Silvia glared at me, opening her mouth before the door opened again " I'm here " Trinity said and looked at me. Silvia glared at both of us before saying " You two, will be last " And everyone giggled and went back to their business. Me and Trinity sat beside each other and started to talk. " Why were you late? " She asked me and I responded " There was an.. incident I had to take care of " I told her and she raised and eyebrow " I'll tell you later " I said and she nodded. " Why were you late? " I asked her and she bit her lip, blushing. " Maxon, showed me around " She said and I raised an eyebrow but she continued " I'll tell you later " And I nodded. The practice for our presentations weren't really practice. Were were just learning how to walk, talk, and act correctly in front of the camera. Apparently, our presentations will be presented on the Report, where everyone will see it for the first time, which honestly scared me a little. " No no no no! " Silvia scowled Tiny. " You must always look to the people and try to look at the camera from time to time. Honestly.. " She said angrily and Tiny looked down, embarrassed. " Next! " Silvia called out and Celeste went up. Surprisingly, all that Silvia did was praise her. " Yes Celeste " Silvia would say " Great job " " Why wont everyone be like Celeste? " Honestly, this was getting on my nerves, and I could tell that It was starting to get on Trinity's nerves too. " Next! " Silvia called out and America went, then Marlee, then Lela and finally, Me and Trinity. " Next! " Silvia called and I nudged Trinity. She stood up and shakily walked up " Hello Illea, I'm Trinity Rivers, and this is my presentation " Trinity said smiling at a pretend camera and then she walked around the room, pretending to say her presentation. She walked with poise and grace and talked like a Queen, at the end she gave the pretend camera a soft smile and looked at Silvia expectantly. Silvia pursed her lips and stared at Trinity " Not bad Trinity, not bad at all " Silvia said and Trinity sighed, while Silvia scribbled something down on her note pad. " Next! " Silvia called out and I stood up shakily. " Its okay, you're going to do great " Trinity whispered to me and I nodded I made my way up and stared at the pretend camera " Hi, I'm Annabelle Caspen- " I began but Silvia cut me off. " No. You never begin with Hi, you must always begin with Hello. Its more regal. " She said and I gulped. " Hello Im Anna- Annabelle- " I began again but Silvia cut me off, again. " No. You never stutter. " She said as I started to get a little annoyed. " Hello, I'm Annabelle Caspen and this is my presentation " I said and tripped on my heels. " No no no! You can never trip! " Silvia said angrily and I glared at her. " You know what? I'm going to do this presentation my way because its my presentation. I don't care if Illea hates it or if I'm not acting like a Princess, I'm going to do this the way I want so I suggest you close your mouth before I make you. " I said and Silvia shut her mouth, obviously angry. " Hi, I'm Annabelle Caspen, but you can call me Anna, and this is my presentation " I began and glared at Silvia. I continued on, walking and skipping around the room. Sometimes prancing. I made lots of jokes and hardly ever looked at the camera. " Thank you so much for watching! Bye! " I said and went back to my seat. " Annabelle Caspen may the stars be in your favour tonight because if you do it like that your going to go home " Silvia said and everyone glared at me while nodding. I rolled my eyes but that still didn't stop the tears from coming. How can you do something if everyone says your going to be a failure? " Well I think shes right. We should do things our own way " Trinity said as she stood up. " Yeah, I agree " Lela said, standing up too. " Well, then you girls should start packing " Silvia said rudely and started to walk away. Trinity glared at her the entire time. " You didn't have to do that " I told Trinity and she faced me " Yes I did, your my best friend " She replied and I hugged her. " Thank you " I whispered to her and she smiled and said " No problem " Soon, all the girls started to leave, it was already twelve and god knows how long they take to get ready for the Report. " Lela " I called out in the hallway and she turned around " Thank you " I told her as we were walking down the hall " Don't worry about it " She said and I could tell she was still a bit mad. " Its not my fault, how could I have said no to the Queen? " I said quietly and she sighed " Your right. I'm sorry " She said and I shook my head " I'm sorry. Friends? " I asked her and she smiled " Friends " She said as we hugged. When I got to my room, I found all maids there. Autumn had a bandage around her head and Indigo's leg was wrapped up. " What happened to you guys? " I asked them and Indigo was the first to reply " well, a shard of glass was emended in my leg so they had to do a mini surgery to get it out and Autumn had concussion. Were feeling better though " She said rather quickly and Autumn just nodded. I looked at them in horror " You guys need rest! " I told them and Autumn replied " But your dress! " She said and I shook my head " Crystal can help me with that later. All you guys need to do is put on my makeup and do my hair so you two can rest. Okay? " I asked them and they looked at each other. I could tell that they were too tired to even function so they nodded. Immediately, Indigo went to do my makeup. Adding a light pink blush to my cheeks and a peachy-coral colour to my lips. Then, she lined my eyes and only applied mascara to the outer tips of my lashes. Right after she was done, I sent her off and brough Autumn in. She carefully waved my hair and added volume to it. then she braided two front pieces of hair and pinned them back, giving me a hippy- summer look. The placed a white daisy on each side of my hair and placed the beautiful diamond necklace on me. Lastly, Crystal came in with a light blue gown. It had a sweetheart neckline and short sleeves, It hugged my body up until my knees then it spread out carefully. There were diamonds emended onto the top part of the dress up until the knees too. " Its- I- Wow ' I said. I normally don't like sparkles but this was beautiful. She added white lace heels with bows on the front and back. The necklace went with the dress perfectly to my surprise. " You look like a million bucks! " Crystal exclaimed and I blushed. " It was all thanks to you " I told her and she smiled. " Anna! " Autumn said as she burst into the bathroom. " wow " She said and looked at me " Thanks " I told her and she handed me something " This is how they found out. Some reporters were at the dance and took pictures of you and Lady Trinity! " Autumn exclaimed and I looked at the magazine. I immediately ran out of my room and into Trinity's. " Trin look! " I said as I looked at Trinity. She was wearing a beautiful high low creme coloured gown. Her hair was straightened and placed in a beautiful bun on her head. " Wow " we said at the same time then we smiled and blushed " Look " I showed her as I handed her the magazine. " I know. My maids showed me. So that's how they found out " She said and I nodded. I wonder who took the pictures though " I said and Trinity smiled at me " I guess we'll find out. " She said and flipped through the pages until the very back, the credits. " What? " Trinity said taking the magazine and squinting to look at it closer " What? " I asked her, taking the magazine and examining it. " It says unknown " Trinity said annoyed and I sighed angrily. She opened her mouth to say something when the door opened. " Lady Trinity, you must come now to practice- " Silvia began but stopped when she looked at us. " You- you clean up nice " She said and I smirked " No. A lady never stutters " I said and Trinity giggled. Silvia immediately blushed and looked down embarrassed " Right.. where are my manners. So sorry " she said and I nodded. " I came here to tell you girls that you will bring one maid with you so you can change easily. Also, come to the stage in fifteen minutes so you can practice one last time. " Silvia said and we and Trinity nodded while she left. I immediately went to my room to get Crystal " Crystal " I called out and found her sweeping up the closet. " Go get my second dress " I told her and she looked up at me " Why? Is something wrong? " she asked me and I shook my head before replying " You're going to the Report with me "
