I walk into first period to see Normani already in her seat with her nose stuck in a book. I walk to the back of the room and take my seat next to her. I hear a noise and look down to see Normani nervously tapping her foot as she reads. I glance at the book. It's 'To The Lighthouse'.
"Is that a good read?" Normani jumps at my voice before looking at me. She glances at me up and down before her eyes divert back to the book.
"I just started so I'll get back to you on that" I nod my head and pull out my binder placing it on my desk. I turn my attention back to Mani.
"So, you're gay now?"
"What are you talking about?"
"I mean you kissed me, so you're gay. Right?" I question. Normani rolls her eyes as she frustratedly turns the page in her book.
"Don't put a label on me again Lauren. We've had this discussion, I'm not gay" I turn my whole body towards Normani crossing my legs.
"Bi then?" Normani slams her book shut and leans in towards me.
"If you don't shut your mouth right now, I will fight you in this classroom in front of everyone. And I promise you, you don't want that" Normani whispers. I throw my hands up in defense and turn my body towards the front.
Ms. Kelly begins the lesson and everyone begins to take notes. I glance over at Normani who is writing hard and fast and her pencil snaps.
"Shit!" I laugh at her making me earn a death glare. I playfully roll my eyes before pulling out another pencil and handing it to Normani. She thanks me and begins writing again, but this time, softer.
After a few minutes, I decided to take out a piece of paper and write Normani a note.
When are we going to talk about the kiss though?
I fold up the piece of paper and slide it onto Mani's desk. She glances at the paper, then to me, then back to the paper. She quickly unfolds it and skims over it. She shakes her head slightly before writing down a response. She slides the paper on my desk.
The kiss wasn't supposed to happen. I was emotional and upset that you were mad about Arin and I, and that just seemed like the best choice at the time. I didn't mean to...
I quickly write back my response.
You didn't mean to kiss me? Really? Cuz it definitely seemed like you meant to. I mean it was a great kiss
I fold up the paper and hand it back to Normani. She reads it before writing a quickly reply.
A great kiss that's never going to happen again.
I smirk at her reply.
So then you agree that it was a great kiss?
I hand Normani the paper. She opens it and a small smile forms on her face. She folds the paper and hands it back to me.
Stop messing with my head and pay attention up front. We'll talk later
I smile before folding up the paper and putting it in my back pocket. I turn my attention back to the front before getting once more good glance at Normani.

"So what exactly are we doing in this store Mani?" We continue to walk down the stores aisles.
She had asked me to drive her to the mall and we're currently in a camera store. Before this stop, we stopped at a music store and she bought an expensive microphone stand plus a microphone (obviously) and a headset.
