Where am I? I slowly open my eyes but quickly close them due to the blinding of the light. It takes about a minute for my eyes to slowly adjust. When they do, I look around the empty hospital room.

Hospital room? Why am I in the hospital? A few minutes later of silence, Amandla walks into the room. She seems me and shakes her head before walking over to the computer monitor next to my bed and starts typing away.

"I thought we agreed that the next time we meet, it wouldn't be here?" I look at her to open my mouth and speak but nothing comes out. She gestures to the water by the side of the bed and I quickly grab and chug all of its content. I cough a little and place the glass down.

"What happened to me? Why am I here?" I try to sit up but I'm in immediate pain and I lay back down.

"You don't remember the accident?" I shake my head.

"No I-" I stop mid-sentence. Everything comes back to me. The crash. Me running out of school crying. Normani and I fighting, but most importantly: us breaking up. "I do, actually" Amandla nods and begins typing away.

"Your family is here. They've been worried sick for days Lauren"

"H-How long was I out?"

"A week plus a few hours. From the pictures I saw, the crash looked bad. You were lucky this time. You only care out with a broken foot and a few cracked ribs" I nod my head and play with my fingers. I bite my lip contemplating before looking up at Amandla.

"Is Normani here?" Amandla stops typing and freezes, but doesn't take her eyes off the screen. She knows about our break up... with that reaction, she has to.

"Are you hungry? I can go get you something from the cafeteria" Amandla steps away from the computer but I grab her wrist before she walks away.

"Is she here Amandla?" Amandla slowly nods her head.

"I'm not supposed to tell you she is, on her orders. When you were awake and okay, she wanted me to go tell her that way she could go home feeling less uneasy and better" I let go of her wrist and start to play with my fingers, keeping me gaze on them.

"Could you maybe, ask her to come in?" It's silent for awhile to I look up at Amandla.

"I can ask her, but no promises she actually comes" I nod and Amandla starts to walk to the door.

"Amandla?" She turns around and looks a me. "C-Could you send my parents home? I'm not really in the mood to see them"

"Even your mother?" I hesitate but slowly nod.

"And what about Dinah and Ally?" I think about it.

"Um, they can come in right away if Normani doesn't come" Amandla nods and walks out of the room. I sigh as I stare up into the ceiling. Normani's last words to me keep playing in my head:

I love you Lauren, with all my heart... but we're over.

I ruined the best thing that's ever happened to me because I'm so selfish and focused on my emotions rather than hers.

The door opens and I look up to see Amandla walk in. My hopes go up hoping it's Normani but I'm disappointed when I see its Ally and Dinah. They walk inside the room.

"I'm sorry Lauren. She didn't want to" I feel my eyes start to water so I quickly look to down at my lap to hide it. "I'll leave you three alone" I hear someone walk out, who I figure was Amandla.

Someone walks over to my bed and takes a seat next to it. I look up to see Ally. She leans over the bed and wipes the stray tears that escaped from my eyes.

"How are you feeling?" She leans back in her chair. I let out a small laugh/ sob.

"Emotionally or physically?"

"Both" I nod.

"Physically, My chest hurts like a bitch due to my cracked ribs and my foot is broken. Emotionally... well you can probably figure that out" Ally nods in agreement. I look over at Dinah who is still standing by the door but in a corner. She's leaning against the wall with her arms crossed staring at her feet.

"D? You wanna say anything?" Ally asks. We both look at her and she doesn't move. She mumbles something but we can barely hear her.

"What?" I ask.

"I said I told you this would happen" She looks up from her feet to me. "If you kept the lie in, it would come back and bite you in the ass. I told you this Lauren, but you somehow thought you could hide it. Normani is a great girl, and you fucked up. You may think it just effected you but Normani cut Ally and I off too" My eyes go wide.

"W-What are you talking about?" Dinah pushes off the wall and walks over but keeps her arms crossed.

"She said she knew Ally and I were in an uncomfortable position since we are all best friends. She then went on into saying how us three were all best friends first so she thought it was best we take your side and comfort you and she'll just hang out with her cheerleading friends." Dinah stops next to Ally. "You fucked this up for all of us, and I don't think there's anyway you can fix it" Dinah glares at me. The room is full of tension.

"Hey guys, visiting time is over" We all look at Amandla who is standing by the door. Ally gets up with Dinah behind her. Dinah turns around and looks at me.

"If there is a way to fix this, you better fucking do it" Dinah turns back around and follows Ally out of the room.
