Okay, so yesterday I was listening to a fan arrangement of "The Hanging Tree" from the Hunger Games (I've only watched the movies and even then I wasn't completely hooked, so before anyone asks, no, it's not one of my fandoms tbh) and the first two verses of the song remind me so much of Sirius and James, it's actually creepy. Really, I realized it and then told Alyssa bc the lyrics were just too aplicable to them. Here are the lyrics to the first two verses!
"Are you, are you, coming to the tree, where they strung up a man, they say he murdered three, strange things have happened here, no stranger would it be, if we met up at midnight in the hanging tree,"
"Are you, are you, coming to the tree, where the dead man called out for his love to flee, strange things have happened here, no stranger would it be, if we met up at midnight in the hanging tree,"
sEE? IT'S SOO ACCURATE! SIRIUS WAS ACCUSED OF KILLING (or causing the death of) PETER PETTIGREW, JAMES POTTER, AND LILY EVANS! AND JAMES'S LAST WORDS WHERE TO WARN LILY TO TAKE HARRY AND GO!
@lilyfanciesprongs YA GOTTA SEE THIS!
