They had been talking for a while when the topic of interests came up.

"What are some weird but kinda cool interests you have?" Zane asks Travis, sitting criss-cross on the latter's bed.

"Does drinking milk out of a mug count? Or like laying on the floor because it flattens your back?" Travis responds, as he was, of course, laying on the carpet.

"I can see that." The smaller male says, chuckling at his friend. "But those aren't necessarily interests, at least I don't think so. Those are more... like little things that make you happy, I suppose?"

"Alright then, since we're on this topic, what about you?" Travis turns to get on his side, looking up at Zane.

"Hm?" Zane questions, wanting Travis to elaborate. He did understand what Travis was asking, however, he wasn't sure if he wanted to answer it.

"Like, what are little things that make you happy?"

Zane fought back the urge to say, "You," although Travis isn't very small. He is actually taller than Zane, and Travis teases him whenever he had the opportunity to.

"Um.. I dunno? Maybe.. maybe..." The nugget thinks for a bit, hand on chin, trying to find something to say other than his first idea. Then he says, "Oh! I love listening to the type of music that makes you feel so alive while having the wind go through your hair. It's breathtaking." He pauses, imagining it and taking in the scene's beauty. Then he becomes aware of Travis staring, and continues, "I get that it's kind of weird.. but, y'know...." He trails off, embarrassed.

"No no! I was just.. thinking of something. That's actually something really cool!" The white-haired casanova smiles.

They keep talking, until Zane looks at the digital clock. It was almost nine.

"Woah. I think I'm gonna have to go home soon. It's getting pretty late." Zane shifts on the bed, getting up, but Travis stops him.

"Wait!" He says a little too loudly.

Zane turns to him, confused with a questioning look on his face. "What?"

"I just thought... well.." Travis shakes his head. "Just follow me." He motions for Zane to join him, wherever he was going. Zane looks at him, hesitant, but goes along with it anyways.

The two pieces of yin and yang make their way through Travis's house, and out to the chilly air.

"Travis, what are we--"

"Shh, just trust me." Travis grabs Zane's hand and leads him to his car. "Get in." He says as he walks over to the driver's seat. They both get in, each with two different emotions flowing through their veins: Travis was excited, and Zane, confused.

Travis drives out to the city, and makes a couple turns, leaving them on the outskirts of said city. The stars were slightly more visible, and the air was colder.

"Travis, really, I'm confused. Why did you bring us out here?"

Travis, in an effort to sound mysterious, says, "There's some things you don't know about me. Like," he shifts, and pushes a button, making the car shake a little, "how I have a convertible!" He spread his arms out, having a lot more space now. The top of the car now lead only into air.

Zane looks up in slight astonishment.

"How was this never mentioned in one of the many conversations I've had with you?" Zane asks, still looking up.

"I don't know!" Travis laughs, pure happiness flowing in those three words. "So, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Huh-- wait, no, you're not saying--"

"Yep!" Travis says, popping the p. Then immediately after, he steps on the pedal and they go off. The outskirts of the city are mostly large highways, where the speed limit is around seventy. The two in the car soon reached just below that.

Zane looks out where his window would be, wind flowing through his raven locks. His normally covered eye revealed, as his hair is tossed to the side. He smiles, then that soon turns into free laughter once Travis puts the radio up, enough to hear through the strong air.

Zane kneels, boosting his height, and making his head poke out just above the windshield.

"Zane!" Travis shouts over the music and wind, "Dude, that's dangerous." He tries to be serious, but it fails miserably as he can't help how cute Zane looks, how happy he seems. He can even see his over, slightly dulled, blue eye.

"Alright then," Zane tries to think of what to say, and out of this boost of mood he finds confidence. "Then just hold my hand to make sure I don't fall!" He shouts back, entertaining his fingers with Travis's. He face heats up just at the small gesture, as does Travis's. They both either smile or laugh in a carefree manner while they go around the highways.

Finally, Travis stops at a small hill just before a lush forest. It smells of freshly cut grass and rain, and the stars and moon overhead provide a faint light source, glimmering against the dark blue sky.

The two sit down, admiring the stars and simple yet natural setting. Both are happy just being in each other's presence.

Zane chuckles, leaning onto and putting his head on Travis's shoulder as he stares up at the endless shining stars. Travis wraps an arm around the smaller one, making him feel safe, looking into his soft blue eyes.

It was a blissful night.
