ZOEY 8:23 SEPTEMBER 2, 2013
Finally, the first day of sophomore year! Zoey was excited to see Duncan and her other friends. She looked around. Ah! There he was over by the science lab, of course.
"Hi Duncan!" she said cheerfully.
"Hey Zoey. How are you?" he returned.
"I'm doing pretty swish, what about you?" she answered.
"I'm doing pretty well myself." he said.
"You wanna walk to social studies with me?" Zoey asked.
"Sure" said Duncan.

Zoey just asked me to walk to class with her, say something dumby.
"Sure" he said.
That's all you could say! He was smacking himself on the inside.
On the way there Zoey was going on and on about mushrooms. He was half paying attention because he was caught up in Zoey's beautiful green eyes.
"Duncan you ok?" Zoey was talking.
"Ya I'm fine" He snapped back into reality.
"You sure?" She asked.
"Ya I'm very sure" he countered.
"Ok" she said not really believing him.
They entered the room and sat down. Duncan observed his social studies class. Basically everybody from last year, but there was a new kid.

Zoey looked around the room. Everyone was the same as last school year except for one person. He was new to this school. His name was Rythian, if she could remember from her class list.
She looked at Rythian. He was tall with tan skin. He looked fairly strong. He had dark chocolate hair with one blond streak in it. His eyes were a lilac color, which Zoey found very strange. He wore mostly purple and black. The weirdest part was, he wore a black mask that covered the lower half of his face.
He was actually kind of cute. She could see Rythian wasn't really paying attention, just drawing in his notebook. Zoey wondered what he was drawing. He seemed dark and mysterious. She liked the thought of having him in her class this year.
DUNCAN 8:39 SEPTEMBER 2, 2013
Duncan looks over at Zoey to see her staring at the new kid with a unreadable look in her eyes.
"Zoey!" Duncan whispers.
"What, what?" Zoey whispered back, snapping back to reality.
"Pay attention" he says not wanting to mention her staring at Rythian.
"Ok Mr. Bossypants!" she playfully said back.
But Duncan can't help but forgetting the look in her eyes as she stared at Rythian.
