Father and Elizabeth were walking late at night for I watched to make sure everything went smoothly. It has been a year since Father and Elizabeth proclaimed their love for each other and Father wants to marry her. Of course, I squealed with joy. I never had a mother and I love Elizabeth like one so it all works out. I planned a formal proposal for Father and I watched them with anticipation.
"Elizabeth? Have I ever told you how much I love you?" Father says, cradling her in his arms as they sat on the pier.
"You may have." She mumbles watching the sunrise.
"Well I love you to the end of the Earth and beyond. I never want to lose you. You are like the sun to my moon, my water to my wave, the harmony to my song. You make my world a little more brighter everyday I love you." Father gets up and Elizabeth watches him curiously. He gets down on one knee and Elizabeth gasps as Father takes out a gorgeous diamond ring.
"Elizabeth Swann? I am going to keep telling you the same thing over and over again until the day I die, I love you more than you know. You add a star into the sky every time I get to see you and this moment feels like the whole sky is in the palm of my hand and I want you to know how much you mean to me. Miss Swann, will you marry me?" Father speaks from the bottom of his heart. Tears pulled into my eyes watching Elizabeth nodding her head yes vigorously, throwing herself into Father's arms, crying her heart out. Father gets up and places the ring on her finger and gets up and kisses her. I smile with tears in my eyes as I watch my Father be with the woman he loves. I will finally become a daughter to the mother of my dreams.
~*~*~
The rain poured over Port Royal, lightning in the distance followed by the rage of thunder. Me and Father were inside our shop when the Royal Navy barged inside, kicking down the door. I was in my dress for Father's wedding and Father came out shortly. One man strapped manacles so heavy, I couldn't keep my arms up. They chained Father as well, pushing us through the rain to the Church where Elizabeth sat in the rain in her wedding dress. She turns around and drops her bouquet and runs to us.
"Will, Ella." She breathes as I catch sight of a short man with a wig and a huge hat. Elizabeth walks up to Will and starts straightening out his jacket while speaking to him with tears.
"Why is this happening?" She ushers.
"I don't know." He answers.
"You look beautiful." He states. She looks up at him and smiles.
"I think it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding." She says somberly. I could hear the governor's voice echoing through the arches.
"Make way. Let me through!" He yells, pushing aside the people, but the navy guards barricade the path.
"How dare you! Stand your men down at once! Do you hear me?" The Governor shouted to the short man, who stared at the ruined wedding scene. He turns around and a craggy faced man takes his jacket.
"Governor Weatherby Swann, it's been too long." The man says to Governor Swann.
"Cutler Beckett." Governor Swann stated with shock and surprise.
"It's Lord now. Actually." Beckett corrected. The guards uncross their spears so the Governor can come through.
"Lord or not, you have no reason and no authority to arrest this man and young woman." The Governor motioned towards me and Father.
"In fact, I do. Mr. Mercer?" The craggy faced man gives some papers to Beckett.
"The warrant for two arrests for one William Turner, one Ella Turner." I look down at my shoes to hide my unknown shame. The Governor snatches the papers and starts reading them.
