Chapter 6

Next day came. Everything was ready. Guests from the Caldera City came by the afternoon. Team Avatar put on their occasion clothes. Everyone was excited to meet up close the Avatar and the rest of the war heroes. Four Kyoshi Warriors followed up close Ursa's family.

Suki, Aang and Katara escorted Zuko within the crowd that greeted them each time they bumped on each of them. Sokka and Toph came from behind.

Zuko felt so awkward seeing Aang and Katara flirting with each other. How lucky Aang was?

"Hey, they're dancing," Aang said pointing at a group of some couples dancing through the music.

"The Phoenix Waltz," Zuko said forcing a kind smile.

"Wanna dance, sweetie?" Aang asked looking at Katara.

She smiled back at him and she answered "Yes!" excitedly they both entered through the couples and they danced.

Everyone's attention fell on the Avatar with his girlfriend. They made a great couple. Zuko couldn't help but feel a wave of jealousy washing over him.

Sokka made a sound of disgust "Those guys are giving me 'Oogies' let's get out of here," he said turning to Toph who nodded in agreement.

"I'm really glad I'm blind," Toph said crossing her arms making Suki chuckle from behind.

You have no idea how lucky you are... Zuko thought and he gave them both a look. "We're going to have a look around the crowd. Be careful, fire boy," Sokka said and they started walking away as Zuko nodded.

After they fended away from Zuko and the others Toph smirked and she leaned closer to Sokka saying "Who you're kidding, you just wanna eat meat,"

Sokka smiled widely, "You know me so well. Wanna play Bounty-bounty-Game?" he asked smiling evilly.

She placed the fist of her one hand in the other smiling evilly as well "Bounty-bounty-Game is my favorite. Get ready to be paid, Sokka,"

"They sure make a nice couple, don't they?" Suki asked from behind as she walked towards Zuko and she stood beside him.

Zuko sighed disappointedly "I guess," There was a big crowd staring at Katara and Aang dancing with the rest of the couples the Phoenix Waltz.

Suki raised an eyebrow noticing the disappointment and jealousy in his voice. "Wait a minute," She started.

Zuko looked at her "What?!"

"You like her?!" She said surprised.

"No I don't, we're just friends, who said I like her!?" Zuko asked exclaiming.

Suki placed her hands on her waist and she said pointing a finger at him laughing "You did,"

Zuko groaned irritatingly "Sometimes you are getting as much annoying as Sokka," he said annoyed.

Suki chuckled "Let's say we have some things in common." She said smiling and turning her gaze back on the dancing couples.

The music stopped and the dance was over. The crowd around started clapping and cheering for the Avatar and the Southern best water bending healer.

"Well, why don't you ask her for the next dance?" Suki suggested.

Zuko jumped from his place "What?!" he asked surprised.

"Since you're just friends I can't see anything bad with just a dance, right?" Suki asked teasingly and she raised an eyebrow looking at him.

"Fine," Zuko said harshly not liking being teased. When Aang and Katara returned back laughing and almost breathless from the dance, he tried to ask her for the next one but they cut him as they started talking.
