Unspoken Feeling-Norminah

Normani sat on the couch with a frown on her face as she looked at Dinah and Zendaya flirt on the couch across from her. It was no lie that she was basically in love with Dinah everyone, except the girl herself knew about Normani's feelings towards Dinah which is why it hurt her to see Dinah flirt with Zendaya.

The frown on Normani's face only deepens when she saw Dinah kiss Zendaya's cheek, very close to her lips. With a sad sigh Normani left the room. She couldn't continue watching them flirt with each other, it was too painful for her.

Dinah watched as Normani walked away and it saddened her because she just wanted to run after Normani and tell her how she feels but she knows that Normani will never feel the same way about her. All she's ever be is Normani's best friend and in away that hurts.

Walking into her room Normani shut and locked her door before heading over to her bed and picking up her journal. Opening it to a blank page she began writing.

Well it looks like Dinah is into Zendaya. Which hurts because of my feelings for her but deep down I knew she would never feel the same way about me. I knew that she would never like me as more than just a friend because she always told me that she would never let herself fall for her best friend and unfortunately that's me. I'm her best friend but I'm in love with. I'm so in love that it hurts! I just wish she could see how I look at her, how my heart beats out of my chest whenever I'm around her, how sparks of electricity flow through my body whenever she's around me. I just wish she knew how much I love but I can't bring myself to tell her because I don't want to ruin our friendship. If I can't have her as my girlfriend I guess I'll have to settle for having her as my best friend, even if I do want more.

Normani sighed as she shut her journal and puts it back under her bed. With a sad sigh she closed her eyes and let sleep take over her body.

Normani was in the art room finishing up her painting when the door opens.

"Mani I have great news!" Dinah squeals.

Normani looks at her "what is it?"

Dinah bit her lip as she tried to hold back her smile "well I asked Zendaya out on a date and she said...yes!" She yells happily "she said yes! Isn't that great?"

Normani's heart just shattered when she heard that and she couldn't bring herself to speak as she turned away from Dinah as tears ran down her cheeks "oh uh that's great Di." She said sadly "but if you'll excuse me I have to go." She mumbles as she hung her head low as she left the art room. Normani's bottom lip wobbles as she walked out the front door, she needed to leave she couldn't be around Dinah right now because it only hurt her more to know that Dinah was going on a date with someone who wasn't her. She really did miss her chance to tell Dinah how she felt. Only if she told Dinah her feelings.

Dinah was confused as to why Normani left the room so quickly. She wants to think that Normani likes her and that's why she left in a hurry but she knows that's not the case at all. She knows deep down that Normani will never have feelings for her and it sucks but she has to move on because she can't keep pining over a girl who will probably never feel the same way she does. So this is good, right?

Normani was sitting on Dinah's bed trying to help Dinah find an outfit for her date tonight.

"Dinah stop freaking out, anything you wear will look good on you." Normani tells her.

Dinah scuffs before turning to her brown eyed friend "Normani do you know who I'm going on a date with?" Normani nods "good then you know that I have to look good if I really want to impress Zendaya because if I impress her then I can ask her to be my girlfriend." She says.
