Another day another death

"When we said you needed to start getting along we didn't mean you had to sleep with each other" Ricky laughed as me and Jacob walked into the back

We had woken up a little bit ago but just decided to lay there for a bit.. It was comfy and warm

"Anyone says another thing" I said while looking round at each off them before pulling out my knife "I will personally cut off your tongue and make you eat as I slowly cut you apart limb by fucking limb" I was holding my knife pointing at them with a small smirk

"You wouldn't do that, love bird" Kaiden mocked

"Right" I growled and jumped towards him making him jump up as I landed where he was just sitting

"Oh look at me I'm Riley and I'm so In love with Jacob but too stubborn to admit it" he sang from the other side of the room I got up looking right at him giving him a warning with my eyes "you don't scare me little girl"

"I'm not a little girl" I snapped and went to jump at him again only to be over someone's shoulder and outside with in seconds..

"Don't shout" Jai's voice said as he placed me down "chill out"

"He's being an ass" he gave me a look saying 'and what else' making me huff "I guess I'm still kinda upset that you all left without me I mean I thought I meant something to you lot, like a family, family means no one gets left behind"

"Let it go it was a mistake" he said with a huff

"Why don't you put yourself in my shoes" I snapped "iv never trusted or needed anyone but lately I have. Iv been alone for so long then when I get into a group I trust them turns out I need them, I feel like for once I have a family, think about everything that happen last night in the woods and the house, now how would you feel if you woke up with a walker about to bite your arm off, your about to be eaten alive, before even thinking about myself I thought of all of you then realised you had left me once out the house it started to rain but I didn't care. The first people in my whole life I had felt like where family left me, I was alone again" he didn't say anything just froze.. Then I herd a scream

"Riley don't yo-" before he could even try and finish I was running towards the scream as fast as I could..

"Help!!" A little girl screamed.. She had managed to climb on a step pile of broken bricks from a fallen building.. Walkers.. Not 10 or even 50.. Hundreds all wanting one girl she was only young in a pink follower tank top with knee length shorts and dolly shoes with a little strap she had ginger hair and was pale.

"Leave her" Lilly said in a small voice I turned round to see all of them standing there

"I can't-"

"Riley" Jodie said cutting me of "there's way too many you'll get killed we will all be killed" I turned away looking at the girl just as she looked at me her green eyes filled with tears of fear she was screaming for help I looked around and saw that there was a wire hanging from one telephone pole what was standing to another one that had fallen but was leaning on the side of a shop the wire went over where the girl was standing... I turned to John

"Please you have to let me I have a plan" I said and he state silent "the wire I can climb along it get to the girl, I can grab her and we can climb along to the roof, I'll put her on my back and run across the roofs, I need you to put the coach bus thing here I can jump onto the bus and let her in through the window ontop I'll stay ontop and you can start driving as I shoot,along with the others who will e at the windows, a path for us to get through" I explained

"You sure you can do it?" He asked

"Your letting her?" Jai asked and he nodded "I'll do it not her, ill do it for her"

"No" I put my hands on his chest stopping him from walking "the wire would snap, I can't weigh a lot I mean I can see my ribs and hip bones I'm also smallest, I can do it"

"Be safe" he said after a few seconds

"Everyone get ready" Ricky said as they climbed into the thing

"Riley wait" I turned back round to him and to my complete shook.. My back hit a wall not hard but softly as hands gripped my waist again softly and you wanna know what else was soft? The touch of Jai's lips on mine... I know shocked me too!! I closes my eyes and started kissing back my hands on his chest not knowing if I should pull closer or push away.. He slowly pulled back and whispered "stay safe" and with one last soft kiss he walked onto the bus... The fuck?!

I guess that kiss gave me some sorta sudden energy because I was climbing up the telephone pole and was at the wire with in seconds.. Lucky all electric had been shut down.. I made sure my weapons was secure on me before getting on the group of wires I only thought it was one big one turns out there's a few of them.

The little girl was still screaming for me to help so I decided to try and calm her

"Hey sweetie" I said and I partly regretted it because now about half of the walkers where reaching up for me as I started going along keeping myself out of reach "what's your name?"

"Sophie" she said weakly as I got closer

"My names Riley" I said softly as I got to where I wanted to be "okay Sophie I need you to trust me" she nodded "well I'm going to move myself round so I can reach my arms down and as soon as I say I want you to jump and I promise I'll catch you" she took a second but finally nodded and I moved myself round ready "okay Sophie, jump" she jumped and I grabbed her pulling her up on the line and I helped her wiggle along to the roof I landed first and I was fine but as soon as Sophie landed on there it was clear it wasn't very strong "come on Sophie slowly now" I held her hand and went in front and we started talking I was hoping for it to be a fast dash but it's now I super slow carful walk..

Suddenly my foot slipped and went through the roof making me fall but I pulled myself back up "it's to weak" she said "it gets weaker you can tell" she pointed out "both of us is to much weight for it"

"It's fine we can make it" I said and held her hand a little tighter "it's fine" i said softly and just a few minuets later the roof Broke again making us fall of the edge but I was hanging on with one hand the other was holding her "it's okay! Hang on!" I said as I got my body back on then held onto the brick wall with one hand to stay up and her in the other and I looked her in the eyes "don't let go"

"It gets weaker" she said and smiled softly at me "I'll tell your little brother you said hi" she said and softened her grip "believe in yourself" I held her hand tighter as she let go but I didn't let go of her

"No no I can get you back there I can save you" I said as she started slowly slipping "I can save you! I couldn't save my baby brother let me save you!" I almost shout

"I love you" and then she slipped ... Falling into the walkers she let out a ear pricing scream as they started eating her alive.. I was frozen I couldn't move I just watched her being eaten .. She stopped screaming but didn't even get to turn as they carried on eating her down to the bone

"No!" I almost scream "I could've saved you!" I couldn't even cry.. I herd my name being shouted but I couldn't take my eyes off the seance below me.. I felt someone lift me but even when we was running the same things running through my head as I just stared at nothing
