Hello! Well, I've decided to start anew for the Watty Awards! Since I

have 5 months to do this, I'm gonna need some help! And even though

this is like a sister-to-sister thing, this is gonna KINDA be a sad

kinda story. But there WILL be romance, but nothing over PG-13 or I'm

disqualified. So this is PRETTY easy for me (since I'm in the range of

10-13 and not one who actually writes...ya know, the S word. It ends

with X and there's an E in the middle...)!

Hope you like!

Chapter 1

"Rebby! Rebby! Wake up! Mom says it's breakfast time!" My younger

sister, Serina, said, jumping up and down on my bed, her dark black

curls bouncing around. I rubbed the sleep out of my emerald green

eyes. I smiled at my sister of a 13 year old. For her age, you would

expect her to just yell for me instead of being a bubbly sis with a

cute personality. Maybe.

"I'm up 'Rina. Tell mom I'll be down in a jiff," I said. She nodded

and skipped down the steps, happy for today's agenda. I was not. I

looked at my new room. White walls and a beautiful balcony to my

right. My curtains were an ocean blue and I could hear the ocean

outside. Malibu was beautiful, but it was a LONG drive to my school.

We had just moved to California from New Jersey. I still missed New

Jersey. I sighed deeply, smelling my mom's cooking. 'Yum' was my only

thought.

I jumped out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. I took a quick

shower, brushed my teeth, my hair, blow dried it, then selected what I

was going to wear today. I chose a blue and green blouse with khaki's.

I smiled at my reflection in the mirror. I had tanned skin from the

summer, straight, shiny brown hair, and pretty green eyes that I

inherited from my mom. I walked down the spiral staircase. I

remembered what me and Serina had done on the railing on our first

day. We ran up the stairs and slid down, me behind her, holding her by

the waist. I still remember her giggle that she couldn't supress. It

was a great memory.

"Hey pumpkin! You're mom made a good breakfast!" That was my dad. He

had my brown hair, but sparkling blue eyes. He was a really cool dad.

He worked as a computer specialist-as you would call "geek"- but he

played hoops with his friends back in New Jersey, so he was pretty

fit. He was orginally from Tenessee, so he has a LITTLE accent in his
