You give me something
That makes me scared alright
This could be nothing
But I'm willing to give it a try
Please give me something
'Cause someday I might know my heart
~You Give Me Something - James Morisson

When Clark woke up he felt very warm and comfortable, like the feeling of coming out of a very pleasant dream. He looked up and saw Leah's peacefully sleeping face. Their arms were wrapped around one another and Clark was sure that he was having a very nice dream. He lay his head back on her chest with a smile and went back to sleep.

When Leah woke up the first thing she felt was a heavy weight on her chest. She looked down and saw Clark's head lying there and her eyes widened. The events of last night came flooding back and Leah laid a hand on Clark's forehead. She was relieved to find that while he still felt a little bit warm, he was not nearly as hot as he was last night. His fever had gone down.

Leah carefully and very slowly extracted herself from beneath Clark. She laid his head down on a pillow, taking care not to wake him.

What was she thinking? She had just broken up with Simon and now she was in another man's bed? Clark's scent clung to Leah, she rather liked it but hated herself for liking it. What was going on?

Leah felt so confused. All she wanted was to get far far away from this apartment but she couldn't just leave Clark by himself. He was still sick, he needed to take his medicine, and someone had to make sure that he didn't go right back to the warehouse.

Clark turned over onto his back and Leah couldn't help but watch him sleep. He looked so young, so peaceful, and so innocent.

Leah sat down on the bed. "Kapag natutulog, parang anghel. Kapag gising, demonyo! Alam mo, perfect ka na sana kung hindi lang masama ang ugali mo. Hindi ko kasi maintindihan kung ano ang gusto mo..."

Clark stirred and opened his eyes. Leah shut her mouth.

"Narinig mo 'yon?" She asked nervously.

"Heard what? Na perfect ako?" He grinned.

"Ang dami dami kong sinabi, 'yun lang ang narinig mo?" Leah said in disbelief. "Ang sabi ko kapag tulog, anghel-"

"So it wasn't a dream," Clark said. He sat up against the pillows. "Nandito ka kagabi..."

"Ang tigas ng ulo mo kasi. May sakit na nga, ayaw mo pa tumigil ng kakatrabaho."

"Thank you...for taking care of me," he said, looking her right in the eyes. Leah could see and even feel his sincerity. It touched her in a way that she couldn't explain. She stood up and backed away from the bed.

"Diyan ka muna," she said. "May sinat ka pa kaya kailangan mo pa magpahinga. Huwag ka muna kumilos, ipagiinit kita ng soup kagabi."

"Sinat? Akala ko ba perfect na ako?" Clark asked teasingly.

Leah rolled her eyes. "Diyan ka na nga!"

"Gusto mo i-check ang temperature ko?" He called after her as she walked out of the bedroom. "Baka perfect na?"

"Che!" She yelled from the kitchen. She could hear Clark laughing and smiled.

She heated up the soup on the stove and warmed up some bread that she found. When it was ready she put it all on a tray with Clark's medicine.

"Ayan na po, Señorito," Leah said, placing the tray on his lap.

"Thank you," he said softly.

"Kumain ka. Ubusin mo 'yan, tapos ang gamot mo inumin mo every 6-8 hours. Sana mamaya wala na ang sinat mo."
