The night and day difference for M.S. is kinda like a werewolf.... but.... not really, its like this;
Mr. Unknown gave a potion that would turn her human (sorta) during the day, but it didn't really work, yes, it changes her most of the time, but sometimes, like in the second book when a truck driver crashed in front of hers and Sakura's house, she didn't change into the blue eyed, grey skinned, and tired Jackie, but stayed the blood thirsty and fueled with rage, love, and hatred, M.S.

This can some times put her in danger, for if she were to reveal her identity, then people and police enforcements would know where to find her, unless she stayed in one of the different Time Zones. (Mr. Deville's TZ, Mr. Unknown's TZ, Or the Throne TZ) then she would basically disappear from the world. But she likes having fresh prey, so she doesn't. Anyways... not the point...

The point is, is only works certain times, weather, and M.S.'s emotional state.
For example;
Lets say that it's very cloudy,
In the afternoon,
And she's feeling angry.
She would be in her... let's say.... Masked Version.
Her Masked Version is made up of the aftermath of her parents abuse, which is;
Hatred
Lust
Love
Depression
Anger
Rage
Sexual Desire
Blood Thirst
And Unstable Mind Set.

The Unmasked Version would be made up of the feelings;
Sadness
Desire
Insanity
Brokeness
Anxiety
Stress
Trauma
Fear
Loss Of Hope
And Loneliness

These feelings are what make the Versions of M.S. you see now, the aftermath of her parents abuse being M.S., and the recipe and mixture of the ingredients of before her undead life, was the cake for Jackie. Even though she is the same person, these split emotions are only seen in these two personalities that M.S. has. The personalities are basically different people. For example; one seems more Anti Social and Depressed than the other, and that one is Jackie.

The weather affects this process like this; if it's dark, cloudy, raining, and or dawn, she's got horns.

If it's bright, cloudless, morning, and or sunrise (light bulbs and street lamps do not count) She has blue eyes.
