Future Gates are the Gates a destined couple goes through in dreams, the couple has to be at least near each other or it will not be seen as clearly, and they will have trouble figuring out what most of it means. But if they are close, it is crystal clear. Like the dream Sakura and M.S. had in the first book, that was a Future Gate. Usually, to open a Future Gate, you have to have your most beloved Ex slaughtered. It doesn't matter if you don't have a recent one. It could be one in the past that you loved dearly, they have to die, therefore, opening the gate with a key made of their souls. Yuki's and Chase's soul combined to make a key to open that for the two. They didn't like it, but they were forced. These gates are hard to open, you have to have at least one admiration about the person you would be entering with. Sakura had at least one, M.S. had over a million! She knows what these Future Gates are and are familiar with them, never going through them until that very night, but she has heard about them. Future Gates are supposed to get a couple together that are supposed to be together, if you don't have a "Future Gate Dream" then it's not meant to be.
