*Your POV*
Lunch; one of every students favorite class periods. Students would gather with their friends and eat some 'lunch' that the school provides them, sitting in uncomfortable small circular seats too close to each other with white tables connected to those chairs.
Though, I didn't attend lunch. I sat in the library and studied French II, sitting in a nice lounge chair in the corner all alone; I loved being alone in the library. The only noise made was either the keyboards typing, the pages of books flipping, or the click and scrolling of the mouse. As I read and took notes in a small notebook I carried, I overheard three familiar voices walk and talk into the library.
"This sucks, we have lunch detention in the fucking library." A voice that didn't have a name to it spoke in a loud whisper to his friends, Marcel and Evan. I glared up from my textbook, noticing them walking around to sit at the computer lab tables. I guess after a minute or so of them sitting there, Evan noticed me so he left his friends to pester me.
I look back to the book, silently mumbling the words I was studying.
"Tu ne peux pas partir?" I looked up at him; his eyes are so beautiful, that I could get lost in them. His eyebrow rose up, obviously confused with what I said. I sighed, speaking in English this time.
"Can't you go away?" I tried not to smile at him, but to be genuinely serious.
"You can't say you don't like me around." Was this an attempt of flirtation? Either way, it didn't work- it just made me feel uncomfortable.
"Yes, I can say that actually." I replied to him, looking back to my notes I was writing. He narrowed his eyes, deciding to sit next to me.
His friends then made their way to me, not helping my anxious side. I began to shake my foot, which was sadly a nervous habit of mine.
"Hey- uh?" The one that I haven't heard from snapped his fingers, attempting to remember my name.
"Y/n." I gave him the refresher. (NY/n is not your name)
"Yeah, NY/n." I rolled my eyes, propping up the textbook to my face.
"So this is Marcel and the other one is Tyler." Evan introduced his friends to me. I kindly and politely smiled at them both.
"Well- Marcel, Tyler, and Evan. Do me a favor and go away." I huffed, shoving the book closer to me so I could block out the three boys.
"Listen here you son of a b-" Tyler went to yell at me, but Evan stopped him.
"Alright, we'll leave you alone." Evan calmly spoke for his friends. I looked up at him, nodding and edging them to leave with my hand.
"Thank you." I mouthed, paying attention to my studies. As the three boys walked off, Evan turned around and walked back over to me as his friends left. I shut my book, glaring at him- obviously unsatisfied with what he's doing.
"You're playing hard to get, aren't you? I think you like me." I slowly look up to him; rolling my eyes with sarcasm in my tone.
"Yup, totally. Oh boy, you caught me." I exhaled, perking my arms up in front of me and resting my chin on my intertwined fingers.
"Evan, I'm joking- if you can't understand sarcasm. What's your deal with me anyway? Do you get your kicks from mockery and bugging such an introvert like me?" I put my notes away in my bag, along with the book.
"What's introvert mean?" He asked me.
"A person predominantly concerned with their own thoughts and feelings rather than with external things." I notice he still didn't understand, so I dumbed it down for him. "It means I'm very shy. I don't like being around unusual places or people." I restated; he finally got the picture.
