Chinatsu: Both Ninja and Wizard

Ch. 9

Lucy's POV

Finding page 285, I continue to read  about Andormeda. 

Andormeda is said to be a god of sorts. Although she is not anything like Athena or Kami himself. She is less than that actually. She made universes, destroyed some, let some live out for millions of years. 

Although she isn't a bad person she isn't a good one either. Her past is simple, shee used to be mani sTa!5. B^T 5#3 [0!}3> \| *0-

Wait what's going on? Why are the words mixed up? Then I remembered, this book is supposed to be foreign to me. I'm not even supposed to understand this. I close the book and look at the cover using whatever time I have left to read the cover. It takes awhile for me to see the words, since they kept changed letters and shapes. For a second I see the title and it makes my eyes widen. 

A Story Of The Fallen Stars

 Fallen stars? That's plural, is she more than one star? Or is their more to the book "OI!" I hear a high pitched voice, "What do you think you're doing by that book?" I look behind me to see a curly haired male with a staff in his hand. He had glasses on and wore a dirty brown shirt. His shorts were old, too. I put my hands up in defense, wincing as I do. 

"What do you want with my book, huh?" He says intimidating making me shiver in fear. " Who gave you the rights to look in my book?? Huh?" 

"I just saw it" I start and started fumbling with my words, "A-and well, y-yo-ou se-ee". "Lucy!" I hear a voice, which was Wendy's, Carla's voice was mixed in with it too. I sigh in relief and smiled, glad that that someone was here and I wasn't alone with this book weirdo. The book weirdo turned around and stopped Wendy and Carla. 

"Stop, don't come near" He says, threatening having the staff against my neck. Although I didn't mind having it against my neck since it wasn't a real sword, but the glare he was giving Wendy and Carla can scare anyone to death. 

"Um, sir. Please, I'm sorry for intruding and reading your book just let me go and we can both part separate ways and never see each other again. Is that a deal?" I try to reason with the person. The person let's go of me, letting me back up a few steps. He stays silent, to silent for him, he seemed like the talkative type. 

I was on guard as I slowly limped my way over to Wendy. She ran to me and gave me a hug. I hugged her back.

"Why are you even here? Master was worried something happened to you. We were all worried. " She worries semi-angrily. I apologize to her. 

"Sorry, Wendy. I'm doing a secret mission for someone in the guild. But I guess the plan back fired." I sigh, disappointed. I could've done this without attracting attention, but I guess that failed. 

"Hey, it's ok. The more important matter is getting you back to heal you, that ogre really took you out" I smile and we started heading out. Carla was helping me walk, well we were floating. 

"Wait, blonde chick. Answer me this." The book weirdo stops us. We look behind us to the weird man questionably. 

"How were you able to read it?" He asked. "Andromeda-sama never lets anyone read her book. Why did you read it so easily??" I questioned how he new that I read it. Not wanting to say it out loud and possibly anger the man, I stay quiet about it. Imma be honest, with the odd personality like him, he was probably stalking me the whole time. But to answer him all I do is shrug. 

"I've been worshiping her for years and she let's you within seconds. What's so special about you?" He questions, grabbing the book and waved it around. 

"Andromeda-sama?" Wendy questioned. "Hey, that name sounds familiar.. Didn't that ogre mention that name?"

"Ogre you say?" He says stepping  forward causing Wendy to step back and Carla to float us away. "Ogres are like the spirit animals of Andromeda-sama. They are close somewhat like her minions"

"Wendy, let's just go. This guy is creepy." Carla shivers. We nod and head out, leaving the weirdo man standing. We met up with the rest of the team on the way. "Lucy, what were you thinking, going through these woods alone?? You could've gotten lost if we didn't have Natsu!" Erza scolds, grabbing me from Carla. 

I give her a small sad smile, fatigue taking over me. "Sorry Erza" She puts my arm around her neck. "It's alright, Lucy. Just don't do it again, scared the guild half to death." She says and I nod with a smile. 

"Lucy Heartfilia!" I look behind where the voice was, and was smacked face first with a book. 

"Lucy Heartfilia how dare you one up me!" I slowly fell to the ground with a dizzy expression. 

"I won't let you get away, I challenge you Lucy Heartfilia. To a fight to the death." I slowly sit up, curiously wondering if I knew the person. Waiting for my vision to be less blurry, I see the book weirdo wielding his staff with both hands. 

"You, Miss Heartfilia, are not only a member of the Heartfilia family. But also a Celestial wizard! That's the reason Andromeda-sama loves you so much, it says so in her book! I researched this book for many years. Translated less than half of it, and I envy you Heartfilia, because she let you read it with ease. I sacrificed many to gain her love, but she never received it, and once I kill you she'll only want me, you hear! She adores you, but once you're dead she'll have no choice be to love her only worshiper" He says crazily, laughing like a psychopath as he did. I knew something was wrong with him, I just didn't know it was this overboard. My gaze goes to the ground, looking for the book the man threw at me. 

"Hey, now wait one second, crazy dude. If your planning to kill Luce then you'll have to go through me." Natsu says, standing in front of me protectively. I grab on to the book and look at the cover. A Story Of The Fallen Stars

Am I part of this book? Is that why this man knows I'm a Heartfilia and a Celestial wizard. I open the book to the front page as Natsu attacks the man. I opened to the title page and nothing was on it at first, but then a letter appeared. As if it just fell in front of me. I take the letter out of the book and open it, leaving the book open just in case it was nothing so I can continue through the book. I close the book anyways seeing as the front of the letter said 'To Lucy' in pretty cursive handwriting. 

I opened it and was blinded by a bright light. It was plain white for a second before it faded away. I looked around my surroundings looking at the black blue vast of nothing. 

"Now where the heck am I?"
