Third POV
All five of them are sitting at the Ramen shop waiting for their food, seeing as they already ordered. Naruto and Chinatsu ordered a beef while the other three got chicken.
Sakura turned to Kakashi, who was intensely reading a certain book. "Kakashi-Sensei?" She called for his attention. Kakashi looked at the girl next to her and raised his only eyebrow. "Yes?"
"How come you passed us?" She questioned. Chinatsu overheard her. Is she still on that?
"You guys showed teamwork. Though, over time it would be way better than it is right now." Kakashi answered.
"Speaking of," Sakura turns to Chinatsu who was waiting anxiously for her ramen, "Chinatsu, how'd you know the answer to the test?" Sakura questions. Chinatsu turned to her in confusion.
"There was an answer to that bell thing?" Chinatsu questioned. The five of them stayed quiet. Did she not know? But why was she better than the three? Kakashi coughs as he said. "What?"
"What?" Chinatsu questioned in confusion.
"You didn't know?" Sasuke questions, growing slightly angered. She didn't even know the answer? How did she score better than him, though? She wasn't even smart enough to tie her shoes until age eight, hence why she never wear shoes! Did she get the answer from Kakashi beforehand?
"I'm so confused, what didn't I know?" Chinatsu questions further. Why was anyone answering her questions? She was beyond confused and had no clue what they were so shocked about.
"The answer to the bell test, the real reason I put you three up against each other," Kakashi said. Chinatsu hummed. "What was the answer?" She questioned.
"It was teamwork, Chinatsu!! And you were the best at it!!" Naruto says and the food comes. "Oo! Food!" He and Chinatsu immediately started digging in. Chinatsu had almost finished her ramen before Naruto, but Naruto finished before her. "Seconds!" They both called out, Chinatsu calling out a second after Naruto did.
"Only two bowls, I'm not losing all my money on bowls of ramen," Kakashi scolds, his bowl finished also. Chinatsu saluted, "Yes, sir!"
"If you didn't know the answer, how'd you do better than Sasuke?" Sakura questioned, slowly devouring her food. To say the least, she was still a bit hungry even after eating a bento.
"In all honesty, I don't think I was even thinking the whole time. I don't even remember the rules for it. Everything I did was on pure instinct." Chinatsu replied honestly.
"Pure instinct?" Kakashi questioned. Chinatsu nodded. "That's what I said," I began, "I knew that I was for sure going to fight with Naruto. When Sakura screamed I thought she was seriously hurt and I was going to beat the shit out of you, Old man. Then when I saw Sasuke fighting. I saw the fire and thought, 'Might as well help him out, we can get bells easier' so there's that" She explained. Under Kakashi's mask, he seemed to smile proudly. He pulls out his wallet, ready for the bill and to just go home.
"I'm heading home, I'll tell the Hokage about missions tomorrow. But before I leave," He pauses as he pulls out the money for the five of them and placed it on the bar. "There's this saying someone told me once. That those in the ninja world who break the rules are scum," Chinatsu stared at him, wondering where he was going with this. Did he call me a scum? she questioned herself. Naruto and Sakura stopped eating to hear Kakashi speak. Sasuke was half listening, but mostly focusing on his food.
"But those who abandon their friends are worse than scum"
Chinatsu eyes widen. She never knew how much truth she can handle until now. "Shit man, since when were you so wise?" She questioned.
"And cool?" Naruto questioned on. Kakashi smiled and walked out. "See you next week on Monday, right after lunch. We'll have our first mission then."
Chinatsu and Naruto turned to each other and shouted at each other. "A mission! Yes!" They both high five each other. Chinatsu turned to Sakura and shook her shoulders excitedly. "Aren't you excited, Sakura, Sasuke?" She questioned. Sakura nodded with a grin, yet not as excited as Chinatsu or Naruto. Sasuke, on the other hand, got off of his chair, done with his food, and heads out without a single word.
"Sasuke must be tired," Chinatsu pointed out cluelessly, "What should we do after this?" She questioned.
"Well, I was going to go rest, today was a tiring day," Sakura said with a yawn. "I bet my mom and dad would be proud to hear my story." She said with a smile. She turns to Chinatsu. "You can have the rest of my ramen." She gets off her chair heads out. Chinatsu grabs the ramen and finishes it in seconds.
"Let's head to the swings then we can spend the night at my house!" Naruto says and I cheer.
"Yea!"
We both walked out of the shop and to the swings, excited that their dreams have started. Soon Naruto will become Hokage. Soon Chinatsu will learn to control her power, she'll be able to meet her brother, too. Soon Sakura will not only fulfill her dream but have an actual one besides stalking Sasuke all day. Soon Sasuke will stop being a distant ass and might have a better vocabulary.
They'll get to that point step by step.
