The First Day

                         Chapter 4: The First Day

                 The next day was the first day I would be in L.A..

I was so excited to see what it was like to live my dream, that I had been dreaming for the past 15 years. I look in my closet to find I forgot that I had put pajamas on that were alredy in the closet when I got here, so I really didn't need my bag after all. When I got a new outfit on that was suitable to go out on the L.A. streets on, I grabbed my keys, and went outside on the porch. I forgot all about my phone, and that I didn't have a car yet, so I went back inside and grabbed the familiar piece of paper off of the counter, went to the home phone, and dialed a number that I thought in the beggining I would not have to call, that number, was no other than, Toby Turner's.

                  The phone rang, and rang, and rang, then finally someone answered. "Hello?" A familliar voice said. It was a man's voice. I replied,"Hello, is this Toby Turner? It's Aria Dixon, the girl that you ran into yesterday." The man said.nothing, trying to think of what happened yesterday, then he finally spoke,"Oh I remember now, yea it's Toby, hi Aria, what do you need?" I asked Toby,"Um, I was wondering if you could take me to some places, since it's my first day living in California and all." Toby thought to himself if he had anything to do that day,"I'm free. What time do you want me to pick you up?" I answered to him,"Anytime will be fine." Toby replied,"Ok I will see you soon." We both said our goodbyes and hung up the phone. Today was going to be a busy day.

               Shortly after the call, Toby drove into the driveway, waiting for me to come out the door. As I went throught the door my key had got stuck in the door and I tried to pull it out. Toby, giggling and chuckling, got out of the car and helped me pull the key out of the door knob. "There you go." He said, still giggling and chuckling. I nodded my head to thank him, still not believeing I ran into him yesterday. We both started to head for Toby's car, and got in. "Where are we going first?" Toby asked politely. I thought for a moment, about my phone, maybe some groceries, then said,"Well, after the phone incedent yesterday, I think I need to go to a phone store." He agreed at started to drive off. "So, Aria what do you like to do? Do you have a job?" Toby asked in concered. "I like to make YouTube videos, and I am officially getting paid to make videos soon, so I kinda have a job." I answered to him. I noticed the radio was off, so I asked Toby,"Hey, do you mind if I turn the radio on?" He looked at the radio, then at me quickly, then back at the road and answered,"I don't mind at all." He smiled with his pearly, white teeth. I look at him, and study his facial structures." He has beautiful, hazel eyes, that don't stay just one color. His sideburns, oh wow, his sideburns. No wonder he made a song about them. His teeth, are perfect." He looked back at me, and giggled,"What's the matter?" I was then slapped by my own invisible force, and didn't hear what Toby said. "Aria?" He said again. "Oh nothing, I was just, looking out your window to see...All of the wonderful, enormous houses." I lied. He added in,"Yea, most houses here are very big." trying to focus on the road. Five minutes later, we were at the phone store, getting my new phone. After we had got my phone, we got into the car, and drove off to the grocerie store. Toby dropped me off at the house, hours later. As he started to drive off I yelled,"Hey!" His car stopped. I went back to to the passenger side and reminded him,"I'll text you tonight." He smiled and drove off. I went back into the house, and checked the time. It was 1:00am. So, I went into my huge bedroom, picked out a blue, baggy "TOBUSCUS" night shirt and some comfy shorts, plopped down on my bed, and slowly fell asleep, forgetting to text Toby.
