Chapter Thirty Seven:-
I woke up with a smile on my face.
Graduation, finally.
I sat up, staring at the wall for a few minutes, and then I picked up my phone and checked the notifications, I only got one text.
Alex:- we're all meeting up at Pay's place.
Wow, they planned everything while I was asleep? Great.
I entered the bathroom, taking a quick shower and then walked back to my room. I wore white ripped jeans and a black crop top. I completed the outfit with my black converse, and then I jumped back on my bed.
Brooke can do my makeup later, I'm wearing simple clothes, so I don't need to put a lot of makeup.
My graduation robe was ready on my bed, a black and sky blue robe. I played Fun Run while waiting for my friends to come over.
A few minutes later, the doorbell rang. I picked up my phone and ran downstairs.
I opened the door and was suddenly pulled into a hug. I knew it was Brooke, because she was the only girl, after me, in our group.
"I'm so happy!" She squealed.
"I am, too. But I'm not ready to die on my graduation day." She pulled away and smiled at me.
I hugged Alex, Danny and Travis and they walked in. I made coffee for all of us and we just sat down, drank our coffee in silence. I felt someone staring at me, so I looked up, and caught Alex's eyes.
He smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Lets go?" Travis said.
I guess I don't need makeup.
"Lets go!" Brooke jumped out of her chair.
I quickly put on some pink lipstick and then left with them. We drove to school silently. When we reached, I looked around, looking at all the parents, how happy they are, because their son or daughter is graduating today.
I wish if my dad was here.
We wore our robes and went to where the graduation was held. The first three rows were empty for all the students. Our parents sat next to each other. Mine, Brooke's Danny's and Travis'. Alex was there too, sitting next to my brother.
I waved at them and they waved back.
I looked around, white chairs, balloons everywhere, a huge stage. Last day of high school.
Everyone says they hate high school, everyone hates studying, exams, but at the end, you're gonna miss everything. The teachers, your friends, everything.
I sat down, next to my friends, waiting for the principal to come up on the stage.
A few minutes later, our principal walked on the stage and everyone started clapping, including me. Of course.
He said his good mornings and greeted everyone in the place.
"First off, let me give my warmest graduations to the class of 2016. You've been a talented, hard working class. I'm proud to have been your principal."
Claps.
He started talking again, but then I zoned out.
I started thinking about Axel. We're meeting today. We're meeting in an hour. I'm so happy, but I'm also nervous.
"Payton Ray?"
I looked up.
It was my turn.
I got up and walked to the stage. Everyone started clapping. I smiled and then started talking.
"I didn't really write a speech.. I just want to thank you all for attending this event. High school was really fun. I'm happy I got the opportunity to learn a lot of new stuff. I wanna thank my teachers, for teaching us and letting us learn new informations, I wanna thank our dear principal for making high school a great place, for making us all a family."
"I wanna thank my mom and my brother for supporting me and helping me all the time. Lastly, I wanna thank my friends for staying by my side and never leaving me."
"Our dear principal, Steve Mathews, my dear teachers, Mr. Calvin, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Monroe, Mrs. Cole, my mom, my brother, and my best friends, thank you so much for staying by my side, thank you for always making me happy, thank you for making high school a great place. I'm gonna miss you all so much, and I'm always gonna miss high school. Have a good day, everyone."
I smiled and everyone started clapping. I walked to the principal and shook his hand, got my diploma and left the stage. Danny was the last one to talk.
He looked so cute on stage, he was a loser, but he worked hard and his grades got higher. When he was done, we all clapped for him.
Soon, a song played. G.D.F.R by Sage the Gemini. Everyone started dancing. My friends and I were dancing and laughing, together. I can't believe this is finally over.
High school is over.
A new life starts soon. So soon.
We took off our caps and threw it up so high, we all started jumping and laughing. I hugged all of my friends, congratulating them.
A few minutes later, my mom and my brother came to us.
My mom pulled me into a tight hug, and I hugged her back.
"I'm so happy for you." She said while crying.
"Aww, don't cry." I pulled away, rubbing away her tears.
My brother stepped to the front, I hugged him so tight.
"You're old now." He whispered in my ear.
I laughed and hit his shoulder.
Everyone started talking, I just stood and listened to them, without talking.
Later, I felt my phone vibrating.
I took it out and checked. It was a message from Axel.
AxelCooper18: I'm here. Go inside. Follow the arrows.
"I'll be right back." I said.
Everyone nodded and continued talking.
I ran inside our high school and stared at the arrows on the floor. I slowly followed them.
Right.
Left.
Left.
Left.
Right.
Is he kidnaping me!?
Left.
Right.
I stopped in front of a sign that said "you're here!"
I looked around. No doors, what the fuck? How is he going to come? How did he even find his way in here?
"Hello, princess." Someone said from behind.
"Axel?" I turned around.
What?
No..
No way!
I was shocked, when I saw the person in front of me. I thought it was a mistake, but he nodded at me. This is right. This is not a dream.
My eyes were still wide open with my mouth formed in an 'O' shape.
Axel Cooper is standing right in front of me. With his blue eyes and blonde hair.
Axel Cooper is...
