Laurence could only stare.

She was so beautiful, more than any girl he'd ever seen.

I mean, Yeah sure he'd seen some pretty faces but her? She had the kind of beauty that shined from the inside out.

She turned her hand to look in his direction and he looked away embaressed.

Dangit! He was too old to be acting like this. He felt like a teenager in highschool again staring at the pretty one in class.

But he couldn't help it.

There were loud thumps heading his way indicating that Garroth was finally back with their order.

Laurence forced himself to look away and smile as Garroth sat down.

"I can see why you chose this place it's so cozy" Garroth smiled handing Laurence his hot cocoa.

"Yeah! . .  uuh yeah it is" Laurence stuttered

The reason he came was because of her. Garroth raised an eye brow just now noticing Laurences fidgiting

Laurence snuck a small glance and Garroth began giggling.

"What?" Laurence asked confused.

"I see you looking at her" Garroth snickered.

To say Laurence's face turned red would be an understatement.

"It's not what it looks like!" He sputtered.

He felt chair begin to lean back and flailed causing the chair to fall back with him still in it. He hit the ground hard wincing and letting out a moan.

"Ohh that's gonna leave a bruise in the morning" he groaned closing his eyes.

"Are you alright" asked a voice.

Laurence nodded sighing "I just happen to be a proffesional at falling in chairs" he mumbled earning him a giggle.

Wait.
That giggle . . .

Laurence's eyes snapped open and he stared open mouthed at who stood above him. She giggled and held out a hand.

He took it turning beet red. They stood awkwardly for a second both avoiding each others eyes.

"I uhh . . I think your cute!"

"I uhh . . . . your really beautiful!"

They both froze before bursting out in laughter. Garroth shook his head smiling from the table.

He left laurence a text telling him good luck and discretly left smiling to himself.

Laurence smiled seeing Garroth leave before offering her his elbow.

They walked outside onto one of the balconeys. The sun was starting to set causing brilliant pinks, orange and purple hues to splash across the sky.
